Could be far worse still if it was to end up like the line to Dorrigo. That is one tragic line and "museum"

All of the Cowra lines are now closed.... The line South to Harden suffered massive flood damage near Bendick Murrell in 2010. The branch line from Koorawatha to Grenfell also suffered major flood damage. The branch line from Cowra to Canwindra - Eugowra is now permanently out of service after one bridge at Canowindra was removed (early 2000's) and two bridges at Cowra were removed around about 2008. The line North from Cowra to Blayney has two major problems. There is a large wooden trestle bridge North of Carcoar, that has now been condemned. To the South, a bridge was removed from Boundary Road near the outskirts of Cowra. Bit suspicious that one.. one day it was fine and the next, the council claimed it was falling down and had it removed... (there was nothing wrong with it.) After the recent floods we had out here.. a large section of rail and ballast/embankment was washed away, just North of Cowra. In a nut shell (and sadly), the likelihood of trains running in and out of Cowra again is highly unlikely. Cheers 🚂🚃🚃🚃

Tragic. I was just there on the weekend (Easter 2017) sad state of affairs in Cowra for LVR. Will end up like the Oberon Branch line.

What a shame it is just like the Murwillumbah railway line. They have started ripping out the wooden trestle bridges and packing up the railway line for a scungy little foot path. Maby the liberal party expects people to walk to Sydney.
