Theres a chap on youtube who tows a caravan with an ev andrew ditton he does it ok with light caravans

From what my dealer said, it’s something to do with the strain on the vehicle when towing with an electric car, they also mentioned problems with hills. Also capacity, towing it decreases the battery capacity and efficiency. That said a lot of EV car dealers say yes they can tow. The RAC say an EV should be approved for towing.

You're forgetting the fact that between now and 2030, car manufacturers have a quota system whereby as the deadline gets closer, the percentage of diesel and petrol cars they're allowed to sell decreases year on year. This means they can't decide to ramp up production towards 2030 and pre register them. They financial penalties for missing their quotas are huge. Is there a gap in the market for companies who refurbish older diesel cars to give them a new life?!!!!🙄

Yes I did forget the quotas, I understand manufacturers are deploying several strategies and product mixes to navigate the quotas. Is there a gap in the market form what will be older diesel, I would say so, however it depends on how good batteries and electric cars get. Speaking to a dealer recently they thought it will Cause the motorhome and caravan industry big challenges.
