The chord progression for the song is Bb/F-Dm/F-F--Gm/D-dm-dm/F--Eb-Bb/D-Eb6/C-Fmaj7 or if simplified, Bb-F-Gm-dm-Eb--Bb-Eb-F which is of course I-V-vi-III-IV-I-IV-V. To answer your comment, though, as you're mentioning success as a factor: IIRC neither of them really posted on youtube at the time, but someone took funtwo's cover and posted it on youtube just titled "guitar", as that was what people searched for, which is largely why it became so popular. Both are good guitarists and all the best to both of them, but I thought it was fair to correct and credit the original version when the opening comment here didn't know.
