The END of Fazbear and Friends

Hey guys! Hope you enjoyed this short/music video extravaganza! Just wanted to give you all an update regarding the future of ZAMination:
As the short declared, we are officially going back to music videos! No more weekly shorts. As many of you probably know, me (Micah) and Zach are developers on the game Poppy Playtime, and for the last year and a half, all of our time was spent working on that, but now that the Poppy Playtime team has grown so much, me and Zach have enough free time to revive the classic ZAMination content!
To clarify: The shorts aren't completely going away! They're just going to take a backseat to the primary music video content. We will only make shorts when we have a great idea for one and can dedicate the time to make it high quality. In terms of music videos, the first new music video is just now starting production, and a second one is already around 80% done! So expect some cool things within the next few months!
Me and Zach wanted to thank you all for watching Fazbear and Friends, along with all the shorts over the last 2 years. It's been absolutely wild! I'd like to also give a HUGE shoutout to the Elijah Delaney, Michael Baldridge, and the rest of the shorts team for their hard work over the last year and a half! Zach and I are super excited to come back full force to making the coolest dang music videos y'all ever did see!

This is probably the best final short I could’ve asked for. All the minor characters like Baby Angel, the purple dog, the shark, the teacher, Circus Bluey, the lava man, Bonnet etc. This is the most grand finale I’ve ever seen in a KZbin short. Rest In Peace Fazbear And Friends. Also the final scene with all the characters on the cliff looks like the beginning of world of light in smash bros ultimate. EVERYONE IS HERE

I remember growing up with the awesome music videos you guys released, and while I wasn’t necessarily saddened when you changed over when the shorts train got rolling with Tik-Tok and all that when that era got unleashed, I never actually realized you guys stopped producing animations…only now I do ironically…but I have to say I like both sides, the "then", and the previous "now" with these silly and fun shorts, and now, you guys are pulling both past and present together for a new and better future, one I can’t wait to see. You guys formed my love for animation, fnaf and minecraft, but when you switched; I felt like I had lost a family member, something so meaningful to me had came to an end… I would comeback to the channel to see all these ‘Fazbear and friends’ videos and just scrolled through the multitude of videos in great sadness. I didn’t look back to this channel for a year or so, until earlier this week I came back to reminisce and watch all the old music videos that really strengthened my love for animation, and i teared up quite abit seening what the channel is now compared to what it used to be; and now, here we are, seeing this video has made my day 99x better. I honestly can’t contain my excitement and happiness right now. I don't care how long animation will take and when it'll come out, I'm just happy knowing that you guys had formulated my love animation, Minecraft, bendy, undertale and fnaf and much more is to come. I might not be a kid anymore, but all your old and latest animations still hold up so strong till this day and and continue to fascinate, me, and the millions. Even though I wasn't really much of a fan of this content as much, this video put a smile on my face. Seeing all these characters all together made my heart bigger. Man rewatching back over a year later and it still holds up really good as a way to bring out an end to this series. I won’t lie, it was actually fun for a good while…at least when they were kinda long length episodes they were entertaining, the shorts were a hit or miss type of deal when they had some funny moments. Until they kinda went and progressed down, and they know this. I've watched this channel from about the start of the FNaF Music videos, seeing it change into the shorts I didn't particularly enjoy, since I liked the serious stories had really saddened me, those videos had brought me into the fandom, and also made me start making animations for myself, making it my hobby even. And seeing this has put me on the edge of my seat type of excited to see this return! I'll be waiting patiently for any new uploads. I must admit, Fazbear and Friends has probably been my favorite YT content in years (the characters, the animations, the humor... I just wanted to say, I'm super proud of you guys. I've visited this channel for a while and have always felt disappointed by the shorts. Well I am 11 now but in 2020 I was 8-9 and I watch Zamination A LOT. Especially the fnaf videos but in 2021-2022 I started to watch other things instead of fnaf and then I came back to see what other music videos zaminations made and I found this fazbear and friends. I almost cried when I found out So no I’m not one of those kids that like fazbears and friends.

I do have a suggestion. Music videos can still continue, but every now and then, make just some random shorts. I'm not saying fazbear and friends will continue with possibly another season, but we all need at least a bit of funny shorts after a bit. Like using all of the ones you have used in every fazbear and friends episode. Every single universe that you used. Just think this one a little bit, but i think a bit of shorts every now and then would be great after some music videos. It's like some random skits and all that. Maybe include fnaf 2, fnaf 3, fnaf 4, fnaf 6, fnaf world a bit, and possibly more fnf characters like those from mods. I will forever miss this series, but I hope just some random minecraft fnaf animated shorts will happen

In the event someone at the studio sees this, or for anyone in general I suppose, I’m gonna try to give a slightly more thought out explanation for why people didn’t like this series. I’m gonna talk about a few points brought up when people hate on this, and try to clarify it a bit better. A lot of people plainly say this series was “cringy”. While not inherently “cringy” in a vacuum, every short is just a really basic elevation / subversion joke, so it becomes really easy to predict jokes before they even land. The first short made was pretty good because no one knew what to expect. But after the 5th one it became really easy to predict the jokes and even the entire plot. Now, let’s talk about the crossover argument. Crossovers aren’t inherently bad either. But this series does it on such a surface level, when there’s so much untapped potential when you introduce other media. You open the door for quite literally infinite possibilities. But no. This series just piggybacks off of popular horror games at the time, or is used to advertise poppy playtime (which wouldn’t necessarily a bad thing on its own either if it wasn’t done every other episode). It would be so interesting to see fazbear and friends interact with other franchises such as: Half life Inscryption Doom The actual minecraft world itself Portal Lego These were just ideas I had while I was writing this. There was so much you could have done with the idea. And on top of that half of the characters are exactly the same.. Every character is screaming while stock sound effects play on repeat in the background. It hurts my ears to listen to and it just makes it more painful to watch. Not to mention all of the really… what’s the word… provocative stuff in some of the episodes, but that’s a whole other can of worms I don’t wanna get into. In addition, the animation is a significant downgrade. Now I understand you wanted to make these quickly, but even then some of it doesn’t look good - parts of the rig not properly tracking or even being parented at all. - waaaay too much squashing and stretching to the point where I can’t even tell what I’m looking at anymore -lighting is just worse in every way - animation is rougher than a gorillas behind. Everything just suddenly stops instead of slowing even a little bit. I apologize but I’m really passionate about animation and it pains me to see this low quality stuff when I know y’all can do better. Now, I wanna take some time to address a common argument made in defense of this series, “It’s just a kid’s series. You can’t critique it as hard” I’m just gonna say it. This is a stupid argument. Good kids media can also be good for adults too. Lemme list off a few examples Transformers Word girl Ninjago Regular show Adventure time All of these shows were targeted for kids but are still seen as amazing by adults. Kids shows don’t have lower standards because of who they were made for, because if they were then that’s just being lazy. As C.S Lewis once said, “A children's story that can only be enjoyed by children isn't a good children's story in the slightest.” Literally this series in a single sentence. So no. I don’t hate this show because of the crossovers, or because of the really lazy humor, incessant obnoxiousness, or anything else I’ve said just now. Actually I do, but I hate it mostly because I know it could have been something amazing.
