One of the biggest arguments against this is, because you might already have all the Minifigures from these early years, you don't want LEGO to remake those exact minifigs. They'd likely end up updated like Pink Zane. If you still feel the same about that, then that's a bit selfish considering how hard the classic figures will be to find for the next generation of Ninjago fans. This is for them.

I’ve been with ninjago since 2011 but personally I like the new designs way better than the old ones. The new faces, hair, and outfits just look a million times better. I thought the point of legacy was to reimagine the sets and redesign them. In my mind I saw this is how the designs changed with the characters after the time travel whiplash after s7

one big issue is the legacy always like to change the figure's look by removing it's armor piece or replace with a new weird looking one or change the hood and printing. etc. And most of these legacy figures look so inaccurate compare to how they look in the show. But the point of legacy is to have another "weird-looking" version of these original sets, so they are not gonna be accurate.

loved the video i think you hit a lot of the points that i had in mind. i really liked the original ninjago minifigures growing up cause i watched the show but they’re so scarce and hard to find compared to the newer ones. i haven’t been keeping up with the new ninjago but they look cool

No, not really. You don't see Star Wars making Qui-Gon Jin blonde. Lucasfilm, LEGO, or otherwise. You don't see Architecture giving the Statue of Liberty a third arm. You don't see Friends remaking old sets under the pretense that there never was a reboot (they've acknowledged it on many occasions). So then... what makes Ninjago different? The sets for the most part are clearly trying to be, or, at least evoke the originals. The minifigs do none of that.

I wish lego would go back to equipping the ninjago characters like ninjas instead of more like samurai or foot soldiers. I get that the minifig design doesn’t allow things like the baggy pants you’d see on them but year one ninjago did it perfectly

I was thinking that the accurate legacy tournament suit could have the ninja symbols from the ninjago movie on the right to replace the symbols that were created in 2012. For the legs, I don't see much needed to change as it's almost the same.

I don't know.. I think (and for perspective I *am* an "OG" fan, watching since early season 1) that it's cool to see old designs re-imagined with the modern faces and hairstyles. HOWEVER, the flip side of this is that we should see new (meaning season 8 onward) designs with OLD faces and hair pieces. Basically every suit redesigned with the opposite faces as they had back in the day. If we get to season 8 Legacy and it's still these faces, THEN I'll gladly consider them lazy and refusing to bring back old faces from the archives. Also, I think that NEW minifigures like Pink Zane, which were never made originally, NEED to have the old faces because this isn't a re-imagining, it's the first release!

I think that's important for the sets, don't get me wrong. With the minifigs tho, we can have modern-quality Legacy Minifigs, that are _actually_ based off the original designs as well. They'd be new, but also clearly based off the minifigs of old. Gotta respect the legacy of all of the theme, ya know?

I completely agree with your points. Just had one thing to say concerning old parts; they brought back several old parts for Bionicle G2 that hadn’t been in production for years. The same can most definitely be done for Ninjago. While I absolutely love the new Gi for this year, they have no relevancy to the sets they come in. And other figures, like Kozu, suffer from the standardized design. Also, these figures seem like a slap in the face to newer collectors. Like you said, collectors don’t just want the classic vehicles, but also the figures that made the old sets so special.

i feel this was very well said and yes i would SOO rather have ACCURATE FIGURES, im such a stickler for accuracy and i just want the ninja to look like they should, like golden lloyd with a yellow face i really hope this campaign takes off since this is a much bigger issue than other things people have ranted about and if we do get a cmf im scared they wont be accurate #WeWantAccurateLegacyMinifigs #AirNinjago

To be fair, blame the fact that nowadays with comic books and TV shows, a movie adaptations of said comic books and TV shows design features carry over to them for no apparent reason outside of not wanting to confuse the fucking normies. So yeah... blame the movie adaptation for having their designs carry over to the sets in the first place.

Pre-Season 8 face designs were perfect, and they tried to change it to a similar design to Ninjago Movie, so that new "fans" could try to fit in, they also carried the design for the head mask(cowl), which also ruined post-season 8 design, but I think they at "least" made the ninja mask much better at season 10 which is a major improvement...

If you want accurate minifigures buy the original sets. The legacy sets are remakes, not revamps. Just chill. The Minifigures of now days have better quality which match the better quality of the sets. Also the original legacy outfits where used in March of the Oni. So........
