The End of My Honda Civic Type R Fk8?

This video might be the last of my 2021 Fk8 Boost Blue Honda Civic Type R. This could be the end of my fk8. I had my cars oil changed not to long ago and in this video, the oil pan body backed out and leaked oil everywhere. Thanks everyone and enjoy the video.

I never trust a dealership or a shop to do Maintenace on my Honda S2000. I always try to do my own maintenance or have a close family mechanic I trust to help me on my clutch or brake fluid change. I hope the civic get back on the road soon.

@@stephenrazis the Civic type r has a huge community. You can find all your DIY projects regarding to maintenance easily online. I find all of mine on S2Ki. I heard rumors that dealerships are just a business too; they cut corners like using lower quality oil instead of OEM to save costs for profits. The customer ends up paying for it in the end.

In Australia you can’t do your own service otherwise it voids warranty.

absolutely not surprised. I have seen dealerships crash an S2000 which was there for service, and I have heard multiple cases of loss Type R engines due to oil change at dealerships.

dealer workers dont care they just half ass cars to get them done and out.... glad they taking care of it.... then if you do your own maintenance and something happens they blame you ... when i use to buy new cars they never go back to the dealer

Unfortunately not the first time I’ve seen this. I worked in the dealer scene for 8 years. Stuff like this happens way too frequently. A common practice for techs nowadays to not check their work and make sure items are tight. Literally takes 2 seconds to check and people are lazy. A prime example of why my R has never seen a dealer for service since I bought it new in 2020. I’m sorry this happened to you. Hopefully didn’t damage the engine.Did the oil light come on when driving?

Yea a lot of misteps lately in maintenance. No oil light. I parked in my driveway and came out to this oil spill madness. I got really lucky it didn't dump on the highway.

@@stephenrazis thankfully didn’t strand you. Hopefully the dealer does you right. I’d request full engine bay detail. Those splash shields love to hold oil, so if that’s not cleaned properly it will continue to drip and make a mess.

i researched a shop that specializes on my engine type along with b58 amongst other european cars but what was important to me was that my car was just another 5pot to them they knew exactly what they were doing and they charged me for it too im cool with that. ill pay for quality

Thats why i don’t trust no one to touch my car i do all my work i don’t even like to take my car to dealer not even for recall had bad experience with the dealer on my first financed acura tsx since that day i swear to never take my car to a dealer for service or recall. Do your own oil change that easy to do get your self the ramp they sell them at warmart or autozone

I live in germany and i do all by my self, tested 3 different dealers (official honda, they got very much money from my for easy and basic stuff) and all of them dont realy work carefull enough. Just do it your self is the best. Even just breaks, they damaged the red paint from the calipers... arggg or just change the tires... they damages the rims... its realy popping out, fly and crash to the ground! Wtf! Just do it self
