No offence, the metropolitan liberal elite of Leicester, but how fucked are you when the main champion of your liberal values is Gary Lineker?
@upsidedownman5877

No it's not. Leicester is or was traditionally a hosiery town. It was one of the most prosperous cities in Europe post war. The statue was atop the old Art Deco Liberty Shoe factory which was where the existing student flats are. The statue represents that and also the history of the city's hosiery industry. It has value and is something to be proud of.

Stew got a few details wrong. The screenwriter of Planet of the Apes was Rod Serling, who was never blacklisted. Pierre Boulle, author of the novel, can be described as a "post-war intellectual" only in the sense that he wrote books after the war and had to think his way through them. He wasn't a socialist, but a Gaullist. And the film made from one of Boulle's stories which was scripted by two blacklisted writers, Carl Foreman and Michael Wilson, was called Bridge on the River Kwai. On its first release, the writing credit for the picture was given to Boulle, who had nothing to do with scripting it. On the other hand, Stew is dead right about the final scene of the original production of Planet of the Apes. I always thought the statue of Liberty bit ruined the film, since there was no reason for the apes to have built that huge monument using a human image (and then buried it in the sand along a beach). Senseless, really, when you think about it.

but they didnt build the Statue of Liberty - the point was that it wasn't a different planet - it was earth all along - and obviously some cataclysm happened that wiped out all humanity - and all was left was remnants of a past, completely vanquished society...and now the apes were "evolving" into humans and soon they would begin to develop as the society of humans before them.... so its just more horseshit evolutionary propaganda thats used to brainwash the masses into believing God doesn't exist

Whilst watching the latest "Planet of the Apes" movie at the cinema, there was a sequence where some apes were looking into an underground tunnel. One of them produces a torch in order to see better. I overheard a whisper: "Where did they get the torch?" This person clearly couldn't fathom how on earth the ape had a torch but easily came to terms with them firing rifles, riding horses and talking.

JUST- DON'T-GIVE - AWAY - THE- SECRET- OF- SOYLENT - GREEN ! Another Charlton Heston Classic with a 'Why O Why' shock-shock ending.
@wrayburn27
@wrayburn27 8 жыл бұрын
+Peter Ingram Everyone should know the end of Soylent Green. It Shows a world the same as here but without animals.. All life on Earth's surface has been destroyed by human selfishness and greed. Humans alone live underground feeding on a processed substance they spend their meagre, brutalized lives producing. It turns out to be human remains because humans are the only source of protein left. Before one guy is given his euthanasia poison, he's allowed to watch a film of life on planet Earth as it once was and listen to music which was once something humans could accomplish. Charlton Heston does not scream "WHY O WHY you stupid human apes!" but does shed tears for a world he's never conceived of, let alone can ever hope to see because it no longer exists and can never exist again. It was made 42 years ago ,slightly ironic, this being the number of the universe.
@error.418

P Bird erm, 42 isn't the number of the universe... it's just the answer to "life, the universe, and everything," but we don't know the question and Earth is the machine built to figure out the question. Also that's just another fiction.

The first three "orang-atangs", Cameron Osbourne and Johnson, all three politicians are from the upper class, while Helena Bonham-Carter, the actress I'm guessing is of middle class origin, so she's in the chimpanzee category.. curiously, he mentions Eric Cantona, a former French footballer and iconic Manchester United striker, but I think that was done to comedic effect. Finally, Ray Winstone, an actor from Hackney, London (you may have seen him, he plays Mr French in "The Departed"), Fred West, the defunct serial killer and "that woman who put the cat in the bin" belong to the gorillas, or proletarian part of society.

Not wanting to get too heavy here, but we are certainly not related to apes, nor any other animal. Evolution is utterly unscientific and irrational. Top evolutionary scientists are much more ready to admit how shaky the "science" is behind it. They know it's a feeble house of cards built upon nothing. Meanwhile, the ignorant masses, who never bother to learn the facts, assume it's true because society endorses it. I grew up assuming evolution was true, because everyone does. But then I studied it and did a u-turn. In fact, the Bible is true, provably so. If you bother to seriously study these things, you'll be staggered, as I was.
@ElectricEarth
@ElectricEarth 5 жыл бұрын
@@Scripture-Man Absolutely right Lee. The theory of Evolution is a blatant lie that originates with the ancient Masonic brotherhood who control science, including NASA and the Royal Society. The idea came from Erasmus Darwin, Freemason and grandfather of Charles Darwin. Heliocentrism is inextricably linked to Evolution and is also a lie developed by men such as secret society Grand Master, Rosicrucian, and alchemist Isaac Newton. Hollywood relentlessly promotes the big lie through science fiction. EVERY major Hollywood film studio was founded by one or more Masons. These include Disney, Warner Brothers (all 3), Paramount, Universal, MGM, United Artists, Columbia, Fox, and Rank. Some of those powerful corporations also control much of the video game, television, and music industries which also promote the heliocentric fantasy universe. Nothing in this world is what people believe it to be. The devil is misleading everyone (Rev. 12:9), but has particularly targeted true Christians in order to prevent his own destruction (Rev. 18:4). The Masonic brotherhood wields immense control over people's minds and lives without them realizing, and it has always been that way (Rev. 17:9,10). They will soon be exposed, stripped of their power and wealth, and destroyed (Rev. 17:16,17). More info. can be found in the comments section of my videos.
