Mathew, your integrity is unquestionable as demonstrated in your humble position and collaboration, not only on building Ras Kitchen, but in producing it. Never doubt that you have a future in doing what you do. It has been an enjoyable journey seeing you and that channel evolve. There is little doubt that you are bigger than what you have created and your talents in these types of productions is obviously positive and it was easy to see through your works where the talent was. Your camera work is excellent as is your editing and music work. The best evidence is in the increased quality you brought to each continuing episode. I do have to be honest and admit that your food work outside of Ras was your best and I am so looking forward to your new expansion of your talents. About two years ago while my wife was in the final months of her life she loved this show..I would occasionally watch it with her and we both enjoyed it very much..There was a chemistry in this cast of people that worked prrfect ,one i dont think can be replicated or duplicated.A continues learning from elder to youth about living without fancy and finding joy and beauty in nature while discovering the joy of cusine from nature..Thank all of you for providing my wife with a home away from home in her final days.

Matt had the advantage, and he took advantage. This is what happens when western people think they are “helping” foreigners on other lands Mathew is a lazy, useless, idealistic westerner that saw an opportunity for himself. There was enough plausible deniability on Mathew’s side, but he should have double checked everything was done ethically. You can blame the daughter but that’s how Mathew gets away with it. Wow, sad situation. I have followed you and Ras Moko for years and lived vicariously through you and your epic adventures. As a Bahamian with Jamaican roots, I'm a real foodie and was very proud of the huge progress of Ras Moko and there's no doubt that you were the catalyst that propelled him. Jealousy is a serious thing and heard the horror stories of what Bob Marley and other artists have gone through. There are also the horrific stories of Jamaicans who returned home tried to reestablish their lives and build businesses while helping the community and were murdered in còld blood. Things must change.

Matt I've been one of the day one watchers, and the truth is we've all seen some of the lukewarm and tense situations you've pushed through to make some of those videos. Mokko has had people in his ears for a long time. I remember the first videos when Mokko used to use briefs to wrap his hair in the old broken down kitchen, and if you weren't doing anything for him, he wouldn't be where he is now. The reality is, you've improved all their lives drastically, and brought us great content over the years. You're a good person. Don't allow the negativity to affect the heart you have. Keep pushing man, there are greater things in store. Respect.

Who was helping Mokko before Matthew decided to come along and change not only his life but the life of his entire family? Since to you everything is black and white, when he was living in squalor, who stepped up to help him? Not everything in life is about race because people who think so one-sided, will encourage the breakdown of anything positive and in the end will not lift a finger afterwards to help the situation of the person who is foolish enough to listen to their close-minded advice. For the people who have good judgment, it's obvious Matthew wanted to form genuine relationships with them, and he wanted to keep these relationships for life. They were family to him. It's sad to say, but I knew this would happen one day. I am Jamaican and I can tell you that nobody on this planet is more entitled than a poor Jamaican. If you know Bawda Cat and Drizzy situation then that is a prime example. If it wasn't for Matt there would be no Ras Moco and vise versa! You know, I really believe they can salvage this. I really do. I don’t think one can really survive without the other because it’s the symbiotic nature of their relationship that makes the channel work; Matthew beautifully captures the essence of the people, their environment & their relationships with one another. We watch because we like the people & the way they live. The issue here is a lack of clarity regarding financial compensation. In the beginning of their 10 year relationship, this was only a vision. I am so sorry this happened. I have been watching you all for awhile. The same thing happened to me years ago. I was helping someone years ago financially, it was a family member. Whenever he called and said that he needed help I was always there. His own Father didn’t help him. I did this out of the goodness of my heart. He didn’t have to pay me back because he was in School. I recently found out that he was telling people things that wasn’t true. None of his family helped him but me. He went behind my back and talked about me to the people who didn’t help him. That really hurt me at the time, but I am fine now. So I would advise you to stay away from people who say things that isn’t true about you. I don’t want to have a relationship with someone who tell lies after I have helped them. I have forgiven him but no longer want to be around him. I was shocked and hurt when he did that to me. I really thought that he loved me because I am his grandmother, but all he was after was my money. I can see the sadness in your eyes when you were talking about what happened.
