I'm not crying, nope, not at all...really though, this series has just done so much to fill in those small gaps and storylines that the games could not. Giovanni getting a chance at redemption and disbanding team rocket, not just because he lost yet again, but because he finally realized his own original dream, is just a masterful conclusion to this arc of the story. Bravo once again my friend, it's off to the pokemon league!

Glad to see not only Giovanni's reaction to Mew, but that of the other members of Team Rocket as well. The Rocket boss got the closure he needed on the subject of that legendary Pokémon. Was actually surprised to see Mew heal the left eye of Giovanni's Nidoking. Seem to recall that injury happened due to that Nidoking's first run-in with Mewtwo. Also, nice foreshadowing of Red's inevitable catching of Mewtwo with the Master Ball in that flash forward scene.

Forgot to mention a few details but I don't feel like editing my comment. One of them being that out of all the reactions, Ariana's was one of the biggest since she knew Giovanni had been obsessed with trying to prove Mew's existence. Said look had a "I don't believe it! It(Mew) really exists!" feel. Another detail was Red handing his DEX over to Prof. Oak so he could show Giovanni the entry on Mew, revealing why it was so hard to find. Then there's the sudden shift in Giovanni's demeanor to that of someone who's regained their drive as a trainer. That shift led to some creative thinking which left the Gym Battle in Mew's hands since Giovanni's Rhydon was worn down to the point of exhaustion from Charizard's Seismic Toss. Charizard may have fainted from having to endure an electric attack during Seismic Toss, but Mew managed to finish things with a simple slap.

I think this episode is a masterpiece and the best way to end Giovanni's arc. It made SO much more sense for him to have a change of heart after seeing Mew and being acknowledged by Prof. Oak, compared to the original games. Thank you for this series!! (also please, I know that Red is going to get Moltres to complete the Pokédex, but it'd be nice if Leaf also shared some of the glory - she always seems to lose against legendaries, lol. Your rendition of Leaf is really charismatic and deserves the best.)

This is a perfect final for Giovanni: he accept the defeat, honour his promise by disbanding Team Rocket and reconcile with his friend and rival Professor Oak. Now Red got all his medal that he win fair and square and the next step is the Pokemon League. I'm very touched to see Giovanni's family at the Red's birthday party, every single details of this episode is priceless. I'm very hyped for the Pokemon League.

I know Red hasn't yet ended, but my god was this the best climax we could ever ask for! It was probably even better than in Generations where Giovanni saw himself in Red. Here he actually got to make up with Oak and prove that Mew WAS real, and like in Generations he allowed himself to have fun as a Pokemon trainer for once. Really heartfelt, hope he got a different end from the Pokemon Giovanni animation, he deserved it. Though seeing Silver at the end with Mewtwo, probably not...

The perfect ending to this climactic battle. Seeing Giovanni redeem himself in the end was quite refreshing to see. I'm looking forward to seeing what challenge the Pokemon League will offer... You know this episode alone tells such a complete and satisfying story for So many characters from pokemon, like silver growing up and able to enjoy life and having a family, but still suffering from seeing what his father did to other trainers and their pokemon. And Giovanny being completely destroyed seeing that the one thing he always wanted, Mew did indeed exist and that it this entire time his dreams didn't have to involve one pokemon or their power level. Amazing story Good Job Bro!

I loved the GIovanni and Oak rivalry story as well, but I Liked this one much better since it gave GIovanni a much better ending than dying alone without his son ever forgiving him. Your story telling is amazing and gives me chills, and accompanied by the music, it even managed to make me tear up a little, when Giovanni Patted Mew on the head while having flashbacks, truly masterfully done!

I did not know what to expect from this episode in terms of how the Mew and Giovanni situation would unfold but I expected a lot in terms of quality. You succeeded on both ends! There is SO much emotion in it with Mew and Giovanni, Oak and Giovanni and Mewtwo meeting Silver and his son who are a bit like brother and nephew to Mewtwo. The Charizard and Rhydon battle is great and I am glad that Rhydon managed to just squeeze out one last win. And even the small comedy bit with Red reminding everyone that there is still a battle going on and Mew fainting the 1 HP Rhydon. Another contender for Top 5 episodes.

Damn, now that’s an ending. A beautiful ending. I never thought I’d see Team Rocket as someone to root for but seeing them all cheer Giovanni on… that was beautiful. And Mew healing Nidoking’s eye was a sweet gesture. It’s pretty symbolic too; Mewtwo was known for ruthlessness and destruction while Mew was known for compassion and life. Finally seeing the Pokémon he saw from his childhood finally allowed Giovanni to heal and move on. That’s just beautiful. I know I sound redundant but what else can I say to describe this episode? What a sobering ending to that arc, but heartwarming too. Your storytelling is masterful, Pedro. I love each and every story-beat, and how it builds upon the last. Bravo. Brilliant way to make Red's victory all the better, as he not only just won the battle and finished Team Rocket, but he gave Giovanni the peace and vindication he deserved. This was filled with many wonderful moments, like Giovanni petting Mew, Red interrupting the tender moment to get back to the battle, Mew's head spinning during Charizard's Seismic Toss with Rhydon, and showing Mewtwo to Silver and his son - and seeing Crystal was nice as well. I definitely wonder how you'll do the return of Team Rocket in Gen 2 if you do it, given how Giovanni has made his intentions clear here with its end and it being a good end at that. This has all been just wonderful and I hope you get to keep pushing forward. ^_^

If the flash forward is still Red's 25th birthday, all I can say is that Silver and Crystal didn't waste their time!^^ (Apologies for the dirty mind, though since Silver seems to be younger than Red, I'd be interested to know what is his age and what is the age of his son.) On a more serious note, and after re-watching episode 39, I'd say that with the means at your disposal you managed to draw an intense fight scene. As always, I love a lot the ideas you have for your narration. You have a knack for finding emotionally powerful moments: (warning spoilers) Giovanni's reaction when he sees Mew, the confrontation between Giovanni and Oak, Mew healing Nidoking, Giovanni rediscovering the fire of his past days as a trainer, Silver encountering Mewtwo... I also liked the way Giovanni was 'defeated'. Plus, it's in line with the games. Good staging with the moment when he dissolves Team Rocket. If I had one regret, it would be that some things happened too quickly. (I'm not necessarily talking about the fight itself: In my opinion this fight is maybe a little too short for the highly anticipated final confrontation with Giovanni, compared to the huge battle at the Silph Co. or the two fights against Sabrina, but that's mostly because these previous moments set the bar very high.^^) I'm mostly talking about the narrative moments. I stand by what I said: they convey powerful emotions and they are good ideas. But some of them happen too quickly. The biggest instance would be the moment in which Oak and Giovanni sort-of reconcile and Giovanni sees the errors of his way. After the things Giovanni did (which include attempting to kill Oak), I thought it happened too quickly. I'm not saying it couldn't have happened, just that the scene should have showed them interact a little more before they shake hands. What I mean is that the ideas are good, but the emotional moments could have lasted a little longer to make them more impactful.

Older than 25. They're not 11 in the actual storyline. The 25 in the cake in the first shot was for the Pokémon franchise. I wasn't expecting to get this far in this series when I've done that 25years special! XD I get your critique, and I am totally aware of this. I actually did it on purpose. The last eps seems to have getting each time less engagement, so after silph co. I decided to go with a faster peace. Also, I will move (physically) on october, so I need this series done till there, or else it will have a hiatus near the end, since I will be moving and won't be able to handle the channel for some time.

To be fair, episode 40 and the part around Giovanni's redemption/reconciliation are the only time the pace seemed too fast for me. As for the rest, the faster pace has never been a problem in my opinion (for instance, Blaine's fight and the Sevii islands arc were short, but the ellipsis worked pefectly). In fact, when I think back of Sabrina's fight, I have a hard time even realizing the pace is faster.^^ I guess it's mostly because the episode was revolving around Giovanni, who's been the main antagonist and who's linked to some of the best moments of the series (episode 22 will always be one of my favorites). (On another topic, that's why I think the fight with Blue should be a lot more important than the ones against the Elite Four. If there is one series of fight that can be shortened or shown with ellipsis and brief glimpses, at least with some of its members, it can be the Elite Four.) I hope you'll be able to finish this series before you move. Good luck! You have my support! With this series, I wish I could hit the 'like' button dozens of times...^^ While it saddens me to hear the series is nearing its end, I can only encourage you to end it if it starts to get less engagement.

@@PedroAraujoStudio To be honest, outside of Agatha, they have had almost no importance in the plot so far, outside of briefly appearing to defeat Team Rocket, so it wouldn't be necessary to have a long fight. In my opinion, from a narrative standpoint, it's best to focus more efforts on the fight with Blue. Plus, Lorelei's team is weak to Zapdos and Charizard; Bruno's team will be utterly crushed by Lapras, Mew and Zapdos; Agatha's team is weak to Mew; and Peter's team is weak to Articuno. I know some people may disagree with me, but depending on the way the episode is made, having them four defeated in one episode wouldn't feel too anticlimactic. (For instance there could be ellipsis hinting that the fights are actually longer, perhaps by cutting to the reactions of everyone else watching the fights on TV, and showing only snippets of the 'highlights' of the battles). The real final boss is Blue after all. The four previous battles are meant to build up the final fight. (And thank you for taking the time to answer me. This has been a great end for Team Rocket. Once Giovanni had seen that his theory of Mew, a pokémon whose DNA gave birth to all the others was true, there wasn't any more battle for them to fight. From now on they can start doing the research they had originally wanted to do. Your series have come far Pedro, the story you told through this animation is something for the books to record, and you did it by animating characters with a lot of personality just from their actions alone. I'm going to try sharing this channel with some people online, and help the channel a little bit atleast.

Once again, you meet expectations and surpass them. Pokémon's never managed to make me sympathize with Giovanni before, but damn, you're the first one to actually do it. Having Mew finally appear was a decision I never would've guessed, but it just pulled the story together perfectly. Wow, what a beautiful finish to the gym challenge. This finale was so good. The culmination of everything that happened in regards to Giovanni. His desire, pride and greed, all to find Mew were finally put to bed. The way his whole facade finally broke and revealed his true self was so good. An emotional end.
