this was basically right after he realized his decepticons were no longer what he made them, he realized he was no better then the chaos bringer and he hated that, the decepticons were once liberators, but greed and power turned them into tyrants

The way prime depicted megatron coming to his senses about the madness he'd allowed to run amok, is by far the most realistic ive ever seen at an attempt for a "redeemed" megatron. A con like megatron doesnt give up theyre cause lightly. The only way for megatron to give up his oppressive eays would have to have been to feel the very thing he was putting others through first hand. This ending felt complete. The final page turned, the last word spoken, the last bullet fired....the last life stolen. Prime will always be the best transformers show ever made. It was a perfect blend of gritty and whimsical, realistic and sci fi. I'll forever miss waking up to new episodes of this masterpiece. And make no mistake. Transformers: Prime IS a masterpiece We'll never get another show anywhere near on the same level or made half as good Rest easy Prime, rest easy now that your legacy's been recognized.

That Megatronus, not Megatron. Megatronus is one of the 13 primes. But I think that in the Robots in disguise Megatron is on Cybertron (probably in prison for his crimes, but I'd free him) So that's a common misconception for the two of them.

When Unicron possessed Megatron, then Megatron realized how is it felt like to oppressed, how it's like to be grind by evil powers. At first Megatron was not evil, actually unicron made him evil , he was carried away by dark energon and unicron. But lastly he realized what he did to his own people and that's why he redeem himself 😢
