Sorry I have to give this a thumbs down but only for the cigarettes involved. It they had not used the glowing rods so much the film would have been serving a real educational mission in the footsteps of David who talked about the dangers of drug stuff, poisons and other dead end streets. Just because he had addictions does not mean that he can't talk about it, warn about it, encourage others Not to do it nor that others have to include his habits in a movie. You know the consequences of this? I hope you do. Kids want to be like their gurus and stars. The path is going within oneself and to open up to nature and animals and the healing journey physically and psychologically.

Nicki LovesDogs Even though the movie digs into Wallace's philosophy and perspective, it is not, by any meanings, meant to be seen as a study or teaching of his work. It focuses, like they clearly said one thousand times during the video, on Wallace and Lipsky during this brief time and it's based on Lipsky's work. If he depicts D.F.W. as he was smoking the whole time, the director better be faithfull. And D.F. W work and life is not meant to be watched by children. If you're stupid enough to be influenced by a movie to smoke, despite all the cientifical data and PSA's out there, you shouldn't watch the movie nor read his books. If you're dumb enough to think people will get brainwashed by the smoking-involving scenes, well, let me tell you, you shouldn't watch it either.
