Which you like better, Stellar Blade or Wukong?

A little context on the ending, a bit long but it helps you understand what happened: Through Chinese Bilibili sources, The Destined One is in fact Wukong's very own reincarnation. The entire quest is Wukong's effort in trying to get rid of the head band and the control of the gods. He made his effort in killing himself and reincarnate to finally achieve the task, restoring his memories from Erlang, and finally awakens his mind. The Destined One is Wukong's mind. What you saw in the end there when he opens his eyes with a smirk on his face, that is actually Wukong himself coming back. It's actually not a random successor inheriting Wukong's title and spirit (that narrative is done for video game purposes for player experience), but actually just the reincarnate Wukong himself awakened once again. Erlang had been Wukong's friend, and it is very likely that the fight in the beginning was all just an act. Wukong stored his true memories (there's an distinction between his true memories and his lingering memories in the stone) in Erlang's heavenly eye, and throughout the journey, all the final bosses of each chapter are actually ordered by Erlang to test the Destined One to see if he completes the tasks and finally makes it to Erlang himself to get Wukong's memories back. You can see all the dialogues hinting this throughout the game. In the bad ending, because the reincarnate Wukong is void of Wukong's memories, if he didn't obtain his memories from his past life from Erlang, he then wouldn't have known what Wukong's real intentions were- the break free from the headband. Therefore memory is still lost, handband is put on, the cycle continues until his new reincarnation completes the task. So Erlang actually waited wayyy longer than you'd think for the reincarnate Wukong to finally find him. Hence why when Bajie asked the Old Monkey if the boy is wukong, the Old Monkey said he is and he isn't. Because the current you are your past life self but you also aren't. You are the new you, but the past you is also you. It's the new and the old combined. When the Old Monkey said Wukong really died and is gone, don't take it at face value, but instead reflect on this context and you'll understand. This also explains why there's a reflection of the three of them on the boat there when the old monkey is going through Wukong's memories. Because Wukong's reincarnate self is literally there! The Old Monkey, is more than likely actually Wukong's Buddhahood spiritual essence (the Victorious Fighting Buddha) split from him upon his death. Just like there's a stone with an ethereal realm with lingering memories and pieces of consciousness and a broken shell, there can also be a pure buddha essence of him splitting off, free of the lingering worldly essence and able to travel in and out of the stone, also as the philosophical narrative throughout the game. There are arguments made saying the old monkey is Tang the Great Monk (Wukong's master in journey to the west) in disguise, but the evidence isn't good enough. Actually the dialogues throughout the entire game is hinting that the Destined One is Wukong himself. In the end animation, it is indeed Journey to the West chronologically from the end all the way back to the beginning. The genius part is, the very end there (when wukong walks out of the waterfall curtain) is the new Wukong awakened, which synchronized perfectly with the logic of reincarnation if you think about it, because when he awakened, everything indeed begins anew, hence it was placed at the very "beginning," it also aligns perfectly with Erlang's line at the end of the fight: "I'm now at peace. Your journey, though, has just begun." This game actually has like a billion little details and hints that most players missed, that tell the real story. Really appreciate this great playthrough and genuine reactions. Anyway, here's the playlist for Journey to the West 1986 and its continued 2000's version with English subtitles, for your interests! kzbin.info/aero/PLOHG5PB2LOciGyGgdanH-whM_xscyTE0E&si=D7aSfYkyOZYrk3l7

Put it this way, during my first playthrough, Yellow Loong took me two days, the Scorpionlord took me two days, and Erlang the Sacred Divinity also took me two days. I used the spell binder only twice, one fighting the Yellow Loong, and the other for the Great Sage's broken shell.

On the Erlang fight, I was impressed that you got far on the first attempt without using the fan. Story of our lives, one good run is followed by hours of bad runs, so I can relate. 😅 That kaiju fight was a reward itself, nevermind the spear in the end.

I came here just to comment on the section I'm currently watching.... Why did you avoid hitting the blue clusters of rocks on giant shigandang? You could've had that boss fight over in two minutes or less. Also I get not liking pluck of many, ky playstyle changed a lot throughout the game, I mainly just used spellbinder anytime I got stuck and that was always enough. But when pluck of many is fully upgraded not only will they all copy your full focus attack at the same time on your target but they'll cast your spells on multiple targets (immobilize, rock solid, etc) on multiple targets. It's completely broken and if you use your mind cores spell binder gives you a massive increase and pluck of many can be casted roughly 5-6 times

Looking back at it, I don't know why I didn't bother hitting the blue crystals but I really didn't realize it would have done more damage haha. I kinda mentioned in the video that I noticed when I was spamming my attacks that my character would just move forward naturally and ended up in the same cubby, so I guess to avoid moving as much I just went straight for that cubby if that makes any sense - but oh well! I don't mind struggling if I end up beating a boss in a way that I figure out how to at the time, and it's funny to find out after the fact :')
