Guide pint-sized creatures in an endearing expedition!
Meet Pikmin: small, plantlike creatures with distinct abilities that you can grow, pluck, guide, and overpower enemies with! Use your Pikmin’s miniature might (and a bit of strategy) to explore this mysterious planet in search of your crew-and treasure.
Lead your loyal and curious squad
To succeed, you’ll have to balance caring for the Pikmin with leading them into dangerous situations. Do your best out there!
Pikmin grow from pellets and wildlife that you can bring to your ship. Pluck them from the ground to have them join you. Go team!
Lead your squad through vast explorable areas to find treasures, discover new paths, and battle enemies of all sizes. You can also direct the Pikmin to collect and carry resources that are helpful for your mission. Up to three Pikmin types can be with you in the field at a time-the rest will hang back until you need them.
When their task is done, the Pikmin will wait in place for you. Get close and blow your whistle to summon them to your side! This handy action can also help you protect the Pikmin from danger, do a headcount, or simply bring them with you to your next task.
A mysterious mix of plant and animal, these creatures are loyal, clever, and ready to follow your lead. Be sure to call forward the right ones for the job!

Quick tip, that weird green thing with the red smoke behind it, (It's called the Smokey Progg) That red smoke behind it, the gloom, instantly kills Pikmin and tricknolls, try using a glowmob to stun it, and if it shakes your glow Pikmin off, call them back, then wait until the next glowmob is ready!

the fact you will toss all your pikmin basically right into the mouth of a bulborb, and then just stand there going 'oh no theyre being eaten!' is so nutty to me. like call them back, throw a glowmob, charge with oatchi! the game gives you so many ways to do combat and you always seem to revert to slowly tossing them into danger and then just hang out watching them die. 33:50 may be the most obvious example. like just call them back and glowmob both of them, why are you throwing them and then just watching the bulborbs take bites from your squad?

Zebra, Make sure to collect tons of raw materials to get all the items in the lab to get a special item called the plucking whistle. As it’s name implies, it plucks Pikmin when whistled at. It costs 240 raw material so keep collecting.

so you now have access to a side mode called shipwreck tale by talking to olimar in the research base. it is a shortened down version of pikmin 1. if you beat it, you unlock another side mode called trial of the sage leaf. 10 hard dandori challenges. if you beat the 5th, and 10th, challenges you unlock 2 new colored onions. you can do this now, though it will be easier if you max out oatchi's skills and your gear. however by that point there may not be enough time left in the game to actually need the onions at all. up to you. try it earlier where it will be harder but the reward more useful, or save it til it'll be easier but the reward wont really be useful.
