Yeah unfortunately, because the trolls were everywhere saying it was bad, they saw more of the attention. The people who enjoyed it, just enjoyed it. The way the people who didn't like it, should have done it, just be a normal person and dislike it lmao. Pretty sure I saw the same couple of people going to every review/video of the game that was positive and just saying they were wrong and any other opinion than "it's awful" is wrong lol. Masterfully crafted story imo. If you hated it, doesn't make it bad. Still a very strong contender for GOTY. This, Ghost of Tsushima and Cyberpunk will be front runners.

I'm really glad to see your take on this game. It really is depressing to me that people really seem to hate this game when to me it... does such a good job for what it does. The catharsis is real. I'll agree pacing is a little off, and it definitely is shocking when people are killed off so quickly but like...why wouldn't that happen? you kill people without other really knowing so that happening to you is fine. As far as why ellie didn't kill abby, i mean the game kinda alludes to why she didn't in that moment and also idk... how could anyone look at lev and abby in that moment and only think "YES LET ME KILL HER". shes pathetic, weak, scared. there is no justice in killing her. There is no reason to kill her. edit: i think many people more wanted fanfiction. a story that catered to them. unfortunately that just can't happen.its okay. If you don't like that it wasn't an adventures with joel game, okay fine, don't play it, but thats on you.

Thanks for the playthrough Dan, few hours late but was fun watching you play it and love it the same way I did. You're right with their entitlement though, they wanted a repeat of the first game to be the story and made their minds up about it. Oh well, atleast some people get to enjoy one of the most lovingly crafted video game stories of all time. Have a good one, Dan.

Loved watching your playthrough on this, my biggest "problem" is that Joel died thinking that he failed Ellie. From his view he was about to die and he couldnt help Ellie at all. Otherwise its a very basic story "revenge bad" still a great game looks good plays like a Last of us game and finished the series up. One other thing, in the first game Ellie says her biggest fear is ending up alone. Thats exactly what happened here her family is gone and now even the last thing she had to remember Joel by (guitar) is also gone since she lost her fingers.

I just felt so sorry at the end. They never got to say "I love you" to one another. Which in its own is a tragedy. For me Abby story could be a little shorter, since I could never rrally sympathize with her tbh. But a great game overall.

More like empathy to Abby. Because Abby wasn’t evil person. She is just moral grey like Joel and Ellie. If i was Abby and see my father have been killed by Joel, i would take revenge on him. Let’s just say that it ain’t black and white.

@@tranvinhnhat1289 Yes correct. But what I mean is that I couldn't see her as a good person for most of the game, at least until Lev and Yara, I don't know why. I was just "blinded" by Joel's death. I guess this game just left me hungry for Joel gameplay, that's all.

Thanks for the playthrough! My favorite one by far! I'm not sure what you would have wanted Ellie to say to Abby. They would never be able to really empathize with eachother so soon. Maybe in 5 years if they ever meet again!
