I really love the pre-plan of this painting, especially the composition. Also, such great narrative and info! I never knew this much about sandpipers, especially about the daddy sandpipers! lol!

I love this composition, the style and background and all those colors! Looks like you did a color scheme that's not so typical for you... but I love it ☺ They looks so cute!

I know you wanted to leave it on a positive note but it still hurt deeply when learning the plight of these very special birds. I assume habitat loss is the reason for their critical status, considering the areas they are found in? Thank you so very much for educating us about these beauties and bringing them to life through your art. I will send good thoughts and wishes to the hard working (and hopefully successful) groups attempting to save these energetic, little long-legged Duck-Billed Sand Pipers.

Nice. Very beautiful painting. The pose is so pleasing with the father bird and the chick. And the background adds so much color and interest without being distracting (a thing I admire because I struggle with it.) When I lived on the coast I loved to watch the sandpipers. There weren't as many of them as seagulls it seemed so it was always neat to get to watch them. So small and dainty.

I don't think we've got sand pipers out on the US east coast, or at least I've never noticed them before if we do. They're super cute! The way you did the shore, with the blue layered over the sand is soooo gorgeous and perfect and I love it. Which is probably a weird part to enjoy given that it's not the cute birb butttttt... Well, I can't help who I am. "I want to branch out and try other things" Don't let your dreams be dreams! Go for it. You can do EVERYTHING.

Can relate to this bird because I do like to keep to myself when I'm writing. Jennifer, I forgot to ask in other video about watercolors is what if I have no paints, can I still learn watercolor with water based markers?
