LOVE the idea of creating mixing wells onto the lid of the tiny palettes that I've already made. I never thought about doing that. So cool. Thank you so much for sharing.❤

I love the hot glue idea. I'm going to add it to the design. I used the exact same eyeshadow palette from dollar general but i left the metal squares in and painted it with appliance epoxy paint and it worked wonderful.😊

Great idea! Wonderful adaptation of the lid for mixing. I used the lid of a large yogurt container when I was in Europe to have a larger but still light weight mixing area.

I wonder how they will be for occasional small projects. Do they drie up quickly if you are just storing them unused?
@DennisHicks78749 Жыл бұрын
Another vid on these made the point they are a unknown quality for permanent archival work. That is, they may fade, etc, many years in the future.

This is the best travel palette!!!!! The thing is, i don't have the watercolor in tubes, only in pans?!??
@jennamurphy9614 Жыл бұрын
How do you stop the tube paints from spilling around in the tin. I imagine if i had a field kit I would store it on it’s side. Would the paints not shift around as they are liquid?

Awesome, thank you for sharing your insight! I am a pencil artist, or rather getting back into pencil art, and I've just started streaming on Instagram thinking of moving to Twitch or other platforms and this was super helpful!! I think I'm ready to start taking the plunge! :D

Great video! I’m still new at vending, but my tip is to stick to the basics! Bare minimum: you need a tablecloth, merch, cash register, and business cards. Don’t forget water and snacks! Also, put thought and time into building your booth setup. I threw mine together without a plan and I was kind of a hot mess but I still had a good time! The most important thing is you get out there. You can do it!

Great stuff! I’ve been using tins from the dollar store, empty half and full pans (Amazon) and sticky back magnets from the dollar store. Some tins are sleek, close really well and even have white inner lids that are perfect as a mixing pallet. I’ve also been reusing tins other art supplies come in as pallets. This is a new idea to me! I don’t use makeup but next time I’m in a dollar store I’ll keep an eye out in case I find one that would make a perfect travel pallet. Tight well closing tins with empty half/full pans work perfect for gouache btw! Also reactivate it ahead with a mist spray and it is easier to use, more opaque and the cracks vanish. Gouache varies brand by brand. Beware Holbein offer time they dry as a useless rock and will not reactivate! To counter this I add a touch of honey and have heard vegetable glycerin also works. Too much however makes the gouache become shiny loosing the beautiful matte quality. I highly recommend the HimI/Miya gouache as I find it not only works very well but the price is astonishing compared to other gouache! What I have done I’ll recommend here is use makeup brushes for painting (I use for watercolour, gouache and acrylic paint). Having separate watercolour and acrylic brushes. Using watercolour for watercolour and/or gouache. Even the dollar store ones are amazing and are excellent to add to your brushes. They are great for special effects, soft gradients, blending, clouds, lifting softly and more! Stiffer makeup brushes really work amazing with gouache and allow incredible and easy perfect blending! I’ve been commenting all over about makeup brushes LOL. Very fun video, thanks.

You’re eraser test I think a lot of it has to do with you not want to shake your table because I never have any leftover ink and I’m not rubbing so hard I’m taking the color out of the paper I use mine on my hot pink Post-it notes perfect. Although one thing I have noticed is that sometimes I have to switch to a different angle to get the best erase

I’m totally addicted to friction pens. But I don’t like the retractable ones I only like the capped ones. I have a set in like every room of my house because I colorcode a lot of my lists lol. And I have one set I have at least one set of every frixion item

I think my only concern is that one of the conventions I checked recently required a special event license in order to sell. Is this a universal thing??? And these cons are out of state bc my state doesn't have many that I could sell at, so idk how any of that works
