I feel for these guys, theres so many of us that just cant compete with people who feel the need to continue when its clear that we aren't a challenge. Rare need to create a better way to separate players out by skill level. I guess that would be tricky but it is necessary.

all matchmaking systems suck, this is not ideal but fine. they could have done a server hop whenever they wanted.

I disagree, if not for the mixed bag of players I would never have the opportunity to meet the people I did who were WORLDS better than me. Adding a cap is silly cause it would limit any true progression. There's a reason why safer seas exists, as a place to learn how to play before you join the high seas and start your adventure. Nothing is safe or guaranteed but it's the mystery of who you're going to come across that is the real magical content. These guys also didn't hesitate to come back and fight for the loot and every time they came back they learned something from the last time. Not to mention the encounter wasn't toxic or disrespectful, everyone was just playing the game.

@@cottonandcreme safer seas is not the answer, its just a dulled down version of the game that just isn't rewarding. theres also too much of a leap between that and finding yourself completely outmatched by a couple of crews each time you play, I get what you are saying, but the experience can often become very jarring for a lot of players.
