I didn't know so many hormones in body.ive hashimoto's disease. Hypothyroidism. I've been having terrible head sweats when I move or lie still.they keep testing basic thyroid said negative.l have high output ileostomy and was told get magnesium tested I did and 4 times admitted to hospital it was so low.after few months I felt better so been having magnesium weekly and stayed at roughly 0.72 to 0.76.now it's been withdrawn and I was bedridden 2 years fatigued sweats ect.afetr a year of saying magnesium they're saying it's not.if any one reads this and can help try and help me,I'm female age 60.xxx

That was a great video!! As someone with congenital (anterior) hypopituitarism it was really informative. I often struggle to explain to non informed people what the pituitary is and why I am chronically ill. Unfortunately (if you got this far and were wondering how I became this way) my mother was hit by a drunk driver while pregnant with me. She broke her spine and lost oxygen. My dad, being a paramedic was able to put her neck in a stable position before passing out himself from his injuries. It was touch and go for my mum and being the early 90's, they thought I did not survive. Months of amnesia later mum had a 8wk premmy me!

Insomnia, lack of certain nutrients and dietary insufficiency, physical activity, neurotransmitters, drug use, brain trauma or other bodily trauma, those are all things that can mess with the endocrine system.

Insomnia would cause a huge decrease in testosterone/estrogen (for a day you’d have like half the normal levels), a small lack of human growth hormone because most is secreted in sleep. If a child ain’t sleeping, it ain’t growing to the normal height. And if you’re trying to build sone muscle or make gym progress with crappy sleep, forget about it.

Yes, the two bosses of our endocrine system!! Great video, specially liked how the teaching was aided with both by use of the cadaver and a diagram. As always, very informative. The best part however, was the time-stamp at 17:13. A humble request. Could you take up the other endocrine glands as well? Wouldn't mind longer videos, if that's ok to ask.
