That 1th mate is a total fraud, Even some basic things were all wrong as he himself did it, like winding up a rope totally the wrong way. This is one of the first thing you learn as a boy when you step on board of a ship for the first time, how to do it right. Also his attitude, like I'm the boss and you do what I tell you is so ridiculous and typical something that beginners do. BTW. Julia is a gem ❤

im working class, and i have to say the girl is just coming off insecure. they man cant help what his background is and from what iv seen he seemed alright where as the lass has worked off assumption.

​@JakeStateFarm420 class is very inherent to british (English especially) culture and it's not the same rich vs poor although they obviously overlap. He is very clearly posh, we can tell where he went to school from the way he speaks and carries himself. She isn't and all she did was very reasonably point out I believe, that he is used to talking to people a certain way and getting his way because he is from that class. It touched such a nerve because it's true but he failed to take any meaningful lessons from it, just feeling sorry for himself. I think Ben is charming and great entertainment on the show, but that doesn't mean he isn't also a posh prick

I don't know why people are taking issue with Ben on this. I don't see any attempt by him to gaslight Jules. It looks like a misunderstanding that got spun out of proportion because of misperceptions of each other.

I get how been feels. Story:6th grade my dad gave me money to buy a yearbok from school. The teacher gave us that have one time to have people sign them and loom through that didnt have one. One girl didnt sign wang to sign mine - she made a point about my working at a particular place in our town (makes enough to buy and enjoy certain privileges). I didnt mean to hurt her feelings.
