The 18th century is often referred to as the age of reason, of enlightenment, "an Age of Academies" because of the number of science societies that were formed across Europe to pursue new ideas and thinking. By the mid-18th century, the Aufklärung movement (The Enlightenment) had transformed European high culture from religious art into grandiose music, philosophy, science and literature… they put aside God in favour of human genius and endeavour. The ‘Enlightenment’, understood in the widest sense as the advance of thought, was always aimed at liberating human beings from fear, religious dogma and installing them as masters of the universe. But it was infact the the start of a new age, a decent of man into the dark underworld.. A break with religion, monarchy, empires …Of civil wars, barbarity, mass slaughter and land grab by European powers. It was an age where the devil managed to convince man that God did not exist..

Since when was a university the only source of knowledge? Books & experimentation are ! It is what you know, not who approves of you & give out certificates. I know many ppl holding PHD's that are complete idiots. None of the geniuses liked schooling & openly rebelled at the system as mind numbing & uninspired. Einstein & many of his caliber voiced that fact openly & exposed the tyranny of the so called professors that man the positions. Paul is more a teacher at the moment & for his knowledge from expansive reading & comprehension, he deserves title of professor. Excellent series of lectures brother Paul. Maybe you can do a lecture on the historical Joseph AS and Moses AS and the history of the Old Testament. There seems to be many parallels to the story of Joseph AS and Musa AS with ancient Egypt but somehow no body has been able or willing to connect the dots. It would be good if you can cover this from a historical perspective.

Enlightenment is well explained by Paul, yet I must confess that if thee Europeans are indeed Enlightened, doesn't Paul fail to see proper upbringing of its subjects (often their imperialist ambition gives negative feedback into their society) when they fail to see how human society evolved without any divine intervention (modern age communists like Putin and Xi believe in intelligent design, due to socialist education). In essence whole scale planning is a protracted struggle and needs honest effort, west were busy otherwise and their society faces some severe drawbacks, like problems of guns, race, gays, drugs etc.

Salaams Paul. I am disappointed at Freud not being included in the pantheon along with Marx, Darwin Newton Kant and Neitzche. Freud's ROOH shall never forgive you the unfairness 😉. On a serious note the LGBTQ discussion shall remain incomplete without reference to Freudian theories of sexuality which are perhaps the starting points of what sexuality is in contemporary Europe /West. So he definitely needs an honorable mention in the above pantheon if not full membership. Regards and Salaams again.

Paul Williams must realise that our Western Civilisation, from Newton to Kant to Einstein and to date - has been relentless in deeply decoupling its constituents from the sense of scarcity - by the mass deforestation of Europe and America first, and then the mass extraction of finite fossil fuels worldwide. That decoupling has suspended key functions etched in the DNA of humans - this far, humans became severely impaired and no longer having all what nature has built in them to understand Life. Now we understand, after systemic depopulation campaigns against Iraq since 1914, when Britain has invaded it for the first time, that Nikola Tesla, Huxley, Orwell and Einstein et al - should be forgiven for thinking their systems can last forever - finite fossil fuels are dangerously hypnotic to humans and their mental capacity. Humans were not ready morally, ethically and intellectually to start the mass extraction of fossil fuels with the advent of the steam engine 300 years ago. The Magna Carta requires now overhauling - adding to it the right for humans to understand what Energy really is - so key functions in them, built by nature, become alive again: "In any system of energy, Control is what consumes energy the most. No energy store holds enough energy to extract an amount of energy equal to the total energy it stores. No system of energy can deliver sum useful energy in excess of the total energy put into constructing it. This universal truth applies to all systems. Energy, like time, flows from past to future". "And do not walk haughtily in the land, for you cannot (thus) rend the earth asunder, nor can you match the mountains in height".

Paul pls get yourself a PHD. I have a feeling that, like me, you loath those oppressive, mind numbing asylums, called universities. But it shuts down the stupid doubters & its something to slap on the stupid wall for belligerent idiots. Also many ppl want you to write, including me, you've already got exposure, so pls produce a critique that sort of organizes & spells out your opinions. As a personal request, I'd ask that the book address the "Why's" more strongly than the "Whats" as that is missing in most books & Dawa efforts. ie: why would the Romans alter the message of the Christ, in detail? Why they installed a trinity? & why then, they unified the Trinity, splitting & rejoining the mind of God simultaneously ? I don't think the Romans cared too much about religion, they just wanted to have a large co-cohesive empire & for that they plastered religions together. This "why" theme could also be the subject of a book about the saga of Islam over the life of the prophet & subsequent empires. After the "what" is established, it is the"why" that convinces. Allah bless your endeavors & give you the energy & inspiration to achieve the noble cause.
