While Joyce is right about people having places to go, you're also right that people have no interest in public playing. You do have a very few weak spots that you need to work on. It's best not to play the entire song. But just focus on where they are and practice those until you can do it properly. I've played that song for 19 years. Yet I've played the piano for 22. So just slow down while you play the song. After you have worked on that. Then you'll play it perfectly.

Yeah, I sort of was astounded by that, too. I have been to that airport for connecting flights several times and I always stop if I have a couple minutes or more to listen and throw a 5$ bill into the collection pot. These guys not only perform well at such a young age, they also do this in a public place where so FEW people can appreciate or do ever appreciate what they are doing. A bit of a shaky start, but pretty smooth after that. Some understandable bum notes, but a really nice steady pace. So many people rush ragtime. Playing for random strangers is never easy either. I've just started learning this after not mastering maple leaf to any stretch of the imagination, and I struggle with just the intro, so props to this young man. Well done 👍

He definitely needs to practice dynamics and he missed a few notes here and there, but over all he is pretty good. Keep practicing, kid! You'll get even better. 😊
