Leaned more towards the AT-TE after seing it in "Clone Wars" but the size and power of the Juggernaut definitely made an impression when it was introduced in "Revenge of the Sith." It definitely stands out when most craft are either; repulsorlift, speeders, or walkers but the small size and durability of the Tactical Enforcer makes it seem like a valuable escort for the Juggernauts

A retrofitted old Juggernaut would make a great exploration vehicle on a unknown planet. Turn the troop capacity into long term living quarters and science labs, and just cruise around the planet for a couple of months stopping to take regular samples. Drop it off in some out of the way place and then either pick it up in a few months or have it make its way to the designated landing/colony site. Just keep some of the weapons in case of giant dangerous lifeforms attacking. The scientific tools can be used afterwards to try and work out how the ecosystem could support such a giant predatory creature without any equally sized prey.... There's always some brontosaurus sized tiger on every planet (except Earth).

8:05 "A9 in the scene where Jyn Erso was being transported gave us the A9 Juggernaut" *visible confusion*
@casbot712 ай бұрын
A terrifyingly *OP variant* that never existed is an A6 frame optimised to carry _the biggest turret_ that can be fitted on the main section. That could fit some capital ship grade weaponry and one-shot enemy vehicles (and ships, with good enough targeting) at long range and possibly close range. Remove whatever troop and vehicle storage capacity is required to fit the turret rotation and support mechanisms, and if necessary the extra power generation. The observation post can be removed, able to retract into the vehicle so as to not block that firing angle, or be mounted on top of the turret itself. That would be useful for taking full advantage of the increased range such a weapon would be capable of and outranging CIS vehicles. With the turret being so big, it should be able to depress enough to hit closer targets (particularly to the sides) as it sits high enough to have the main gun mounted far enough to point below horizontal without hitting the hull. An even more extreme version would be to not use a turret and instead mount a fixed giant gun, like a SPHA on wheels instead of many legs. But the wheeled giant tank is the more flexible and effective concept. And with a variable power setting on its main gun it could dial it down to deal more rapid shots to only use the power needed on lighter targets and then use full power for fortifications and the enemy's heaviest armour. It would _obliterate_ enemy heavy vehicle before they had a chance to hit back.
@jacobanderson82192 ай бұрын
You just essentially described a DS2 version of the SPHA-T cannons (mainly the ability to fire on a lower charge), or a smaller variant of the planetary turbolasers from Legends. Makes me think of the Cold War Swedish Strv 103. A cool concept, but I can't see Disney having the foresight or knowledge to develop it further.

I'd expect that either the A4 or (more likely) the A5 was introduced in the aftermath of the invasion of Naboo; hell, I'd expect that every sector and system defense force started upgrading their arsenals at that time, and that various corporations were rushing to bring new models of everything from blaster pistols to warships to the galaxy, and that a lot of the "classic" pre-war and Clone Wars designs got either their start or a newly revamped model in the years following.
@Director_Orson_Krennic2 ай бұрын
I'd guess the A4 was the newest version of a line of Juggernauts that had been made for PDF ground forces since roughly the Rusaan Reformation, the fourth iteration of the line. Probably something like 200-300 years of production and use at that point, just kinda vibing as there was really only skirmishes with criminal groups and other assorted riff-raff, no need to really step it up. The Battle of Naboo changed that, and spurred a new development. I could see both the A5 and A6 being developed at the same time by competing design teams for the A5's design contest held by the main manufacturer, but the A5 being more reasonably sized and practical won out. The A6's design was stored away for a rainy day or further design inspiration for the future at that point - until the Clone Wars kicked off. I could see the company then remembering they had that, dusting the design off, offering it to the Republic and spooling production up, because open warfare required every new strong design around to be ready to go - and all the design work was already done in this in advance, meaning it was set to just go straight into mass production

We know of pod racing & many other sports & games in the starwars universe how many of those could you possibly make video ideas with; even if some similar sports like most kinds of racing are lumped in one? Just from racing i can think of 3 examples: -pod racing from phantom menace - fighter racing like is shown in starwars resistance - creature racing that would have happened where they released the stabled creatures in the last jedi Also maybe compare the droid battles from solo & any other cannon sources to modern battlebot rumbles we have currently There are likely other sources of sports in that universe you could breakdown too if any of these suggestions catch your interest.

Always thought the A5 was way more sensible than the A6. The A6, while poweful, is just too big to be effective. It cannot menuver very well through dense or even moderately urban terrain. It's way too big to transport effectively. That weight poses serious concerns on litterally any terrain. And perhaps most glaring, for how many resources are tied up in the A6, it is just too big a target. A few Hyenas could destroy this thing despite that AA defense, that's a lot of clones/material to lose in one sitting. The A5 is still big, but is a lot more sensible in size. Still packs a punch too. The Empire was right to keep it in service. Actually a lot imperial and Nee Republic ground vehicles seem to be sensibly designed when compared to CIS or Republic vehicles. But either way, juggernauts in genral were just too maintenence heavy to be effective. They were constantly breaking down and I imagine that's why walkers and repulsercraft were so prevalent.
