It’s just to bad the NBA doesn’t really talk about their history to much. Part of the reason the NFL is so great is the history and how they tell the story of the league.
@thehwguy42937 ай бұрын
Yeah, unlike the NFL, the NBA doesn't acknowledge the ABA much outside of "they were a rival league that folded and merged with ours ". Like, all of the ABA records, awards, and greats will be soon lost to time; and the only ones who remember them are the ones who actually care to remember.
@randomvids12310006 ай бұрын
I know this comment is from 4 months ago, but I felt the need to share why it is the NFL does have so much history covered. And that's because of the Sabol family and the NFL Films company they founded. If it was not for them, then a majority of cinematic NFL footage that has been around since the 50's-60's does not exist.
@Donnydon19966 ай бұрын
@@randomvids1231000 I 100 percent agree NFL films is how I started to really get into the NFL. The NFL network teaches you the history. The fact the NBA never invested in keeping its history as rich as possible is why the NBA isn’t as great as it could be.

that draft class doesn’t even come close to 2017 and 2018 and the only reason 2016 all star weekend is so good is because of the dunk contest but the all star game itself was mid asf, ppl only overhype it cus it was kobe’s last but the game itself wasn’t competitive at all, nostalgia blinds the hell out of ppl like you 😂🤦🏽♂️

19:28 did you do any research on Kareem before you started talking about him? the Lakers traded him because he demanded a trade either to New York or Los Angeles. Oscar Robertson had retired, the team had mediocre guards, Kareem didn't like 1970s Wisconsin and wanted to be back in New York where he grew up or Los Angeles where he played at UCLA. In the big ciites, he could find a mosque, pursue his music interests (he hosted a jazz radio show in Milwaukee, but nobody else in Wisconsin cared for jazz), and be himself. The Bucks weren't "stupid" for trading Kareem because it was never their choice.
