The entire scene with the Shueisha Editor is definetly a reference to Akutami's former Editor who rejected his Idol Fighting Manga and critizised the way Akutami draw the legs of his femal character calling them "too fat". Akutami mentioned in an interview with Kobayashi that he hates this former Editor.
