Both are terrifying, but it feels like Gregors cruelty stems from ego and sheer animalistic fury, whereas Ramsey does it for fun. Ultimately I'd say the Mountain is the more frightening of the two, Ramsey's a monster but not much of a fighter himself, requiring his victims to be somehow trapped and incapacitated first before he begins his evil games, Mountain however has no problems doing this himself - though would almost certainly kill them in the process.

I know that this is an old post but I can’t help but say that The Hound wasn’t that good of a fighter. He lost against Brienne whom Oberyn would’ve destroyed. If the Hound went against The Mountain instead of Oberyn, he would’ve died exactly the same way.

IMO The Mountain is the most despicable character in all of ASOIAF(Ramsey a close second). I had to skip some of Gregor’s deeds in the books. They were just too much. Most characters are gray(not all good or all bad) in GRRM’s world. The Mountain and Ramsey are the exceptions because both are completely evil with zero redeeming qualities.

Maybe it's possible but I'm not sure how likely it is as Gregor in the books is north of thirty and weighs four hundred pounds and fights in probably two hundred pound of extra gear but Bronn describes him as very quick for a man his size. I'm pretty sure gigantism stresses the joints and the heart and eventually forces a person to slow way down. Andre the Giant himself is a good example of this. None of that seems to be happening to the Mountain.
