Since both songs are break-up songs, my theory is that each other's maps are the fall out of their break up. Grace came out thankful and moved on while Ari is still feeling bitter about it or is upset that Grace came out happy and healthy

Yeah, but the pictures of Grace and Ari at the end depict Ari as she's shown in the end of the Good 4 U map, so it would be unlikely that they broke up with each other and these maps were a result of that.

Yeah I agree more with the theory that they are dating after breaking up with someone else as both break up songs complement each other so hence they go to different sides of the classroom and if they both felt the same way they could then move on and start a new life together which is so cute and sweet

I'm wondering... What if the coaches from Happy, Sorry and Blame are named "Pete", "Ricky" and "Sean" respectively? It would keep up with the theme of the Good 4 U coach being named "Ari". Though that does leave out Malcolm, which is a bit hard considering that Marc Miller passed away in 2018.

The only reason why I feel like they didn’t break up is because Ari didn’t wear the outfit that was in the photos until the end of good for you, if it was a prequel then I feel like she would be wearing the first outfit. I kinda feel like they were both friends before then and Ari went through a break up first. I also feel like both songs could take place on different days cause if the time was the same then they both would’ve been in the hallway, plus the halls were clean in the beginning of good 4 u. Maybe after breaking up with her ex she fell in love with grace and after grace broke up with her ex’s she also fell in love with Ari? Lol I don’t really know this is just my theory, but I was honestly wondering how Avery was gonna add the night swan joke lol it still lives on!

It could be a reverse of your theory of Ari's taking place in the future. Grace could of heard Ari going off about her ex and goes to comfort her, since Grace has had break ups before. We don't know how the break ups went so she might of had some bad ones. They become friends than soon get a crush on each other or atleast Grace gets a crush on Ari and after her song, Grace goes to ask Ari out.

One theory that might make more sense is that Thank U, Next and Good 4 U occur at the same time. Both songs feature Grace and Ari getting over their exes. Grace moves on happily while Ari is bitter and angry, but then they meet each other and things get better for the both of them. As for whether it’s romantic or platonic, I’d say only time will tell. If the Lore Guardian reveals more then we’ll have more info to deal with.

5:13-5:19 I have my own theory about that So I think that you are correct about the part about Grace and the thing you said about how they met. But i think that the roles are swapped. Hear me out So I think what you said about the timeline thing with Grace is correct, but I think that you got the part about Ari wrong. and heres why So i think that Good 4 u is placed first in the timeline and Ari is letting out her emotions about a breakup with one of her ex’s. and then she met Grace and fell in love with her.
