@majorkill before we get DLC we'll get some sorta of continuation of Titus's story, in December Amazon is premiering an animated anthology series, one such episode will be a Space Marine 2 episode. I think we'll probably get the mission he goes on covered in that episode and it will set up whatever story DLC we wind up getting. Which we'll definitely get as per a QA with a member of Saber's team over the weekend.

Leandros really did deserve some sort of punishment for not following the proper chain of command when he was reporting his suspicions of his captain. I think he should have been transferred back to the 10th company to begin as a scout again not given more authority as a chaplain.

As I understand it as well, a Chaplain pretty much forfeits all opportunity for personal glory in the name of the Emperor, in order to better serve their Chapter. Leandros essentially stopped being a Space Marine and became something of a glorified mouthpiece for the Codex Astartes-which he proved himself to be when he turned Titus in. He can't fight on the frontlines, for one. Even if he did and managed something badass, it will be attributed to the Chapter and not him personally. Being a Chaplain is also a big glowing sign that you're basically the kind of person who would snitch on or mistrust his battle-brothers, which is very anathema to the sort of brotherhood and camaraderie espoused by Space Marine Chapters. Ergo, the Ultramarines in the 2nd Company respect his rank and his role as a spiritual figure, but they don't trust him as a fellow battle-brother. All in all, Leandros may not have gotten the punishment we feel is deserved, but he's also become permanently unable to be a hero of the Ultramarines. He got to watch Titus become a hero a second time and even re-earn his place in the Chapter with full honors, and he could do nothing about it

@Majorkill, the one issue i had always had with the story from the first game was the whole Titus surrendering to the inquistiron, after all its canon from the novels, you break faith or accused of chaos taint, the chapters do thier own investigation of you. Hell 4th company captain Ventris broke faith with the codex was stripped of chapter markings and sent on a death oath mission with Pasanius, captured by Grey Knights while trying to get home. They proved their purity to the grey knights but even then after being returned to Macragge and welcomed by Calgar (who I have aways viewed as a bit of a muppet tbh) they then still had to prove their innocence and purity to the Ultra marines. So Titus being taken into custody by the inquistion to me has never sat right. And ofc he then finds out the the chaplain with the heavy bolter stuck up his arse is the same git that reported him. Hell Id have been p8ssed lol

I am a complete novice in Warhammer lore, but I figure it's like reporting someone to corporate at your job. It should have been handled at the lowest level, but now it's out of their hands. The Inquisition outranks any individual chapter. Had the Chapter Master known about Titus, he may have had a say in the matter but he didn't and Titus was honor bound to comply without issue.

Space Marine 2 is definitely one of the greatest games in recent times. And probably one of the Greatest Sequels of all time. I love this game. It doesn’t spout any unnecessary messaging in my face, its story is amazing, I really enjoy its themes of Trust and Brotherhood, it’s just flat out amazing.

It really grinds my gears that after Titus faced and defeated Chaos not once, not twice, but THREE times by the end of Space Marine 2, literally went INTO THE WARP and remained pure, faced a greater daemon, defeated THREE different chaos sorcerers, risked his life to save the freaking chapter master, and Leandros STILL suspects Titus of heresy/corruption. Good reveal at the end of the game tho, but Leandros is probably the one imperial/loyalist character I hate the most now.

I have a question about greater Daemons. I thought their was ONE Lord of Change, Great Unclean One, etc. Once slain they are banished back to the warp and then summoned again/manifested for another battle later. Is that correct or are their many of them and if so can more than one of each be summoned at once?

no there are several, and some are named because of how powerfull they are, deeds they did or just for plot conveniance. I don't actually know how many they are, but not all greater demons are equals. As an exemple, if you play total war warhammer 3, kugath IS a great unclean, just as skarbrand is a bloodthirster, kairos a lord o change and n'kari a keeper of secret. They are not the only ones of their kind, but are among the most powerfull ones. Ka'bandha is another legendary bloodthirster as an exemple.

The Chaplain's reveal was pretty disappointing. You'd think a couple of centuries he would develop his character and leave him time for rumination on how he handled Titus. Or even a little change of heart after Titus freaking wingmans Calgar in an ultra-glorious fight

That would be true but if you think about it doubt those few centuries was easy for Leandros since he reported his captain of suspension of corruption to the inquisition even despite going on about the codex he failed in that regard. Plus Calgar said he was pissed when he learned of what became of Titus.. so I'm pretty sure he gotten punishment and is forced to be a chaplain as a reminder of his failure. So while everyone and Calgar are happy to know Titus wasn't corrupted by chaos, Leandros couldn't believe it because in his mind all that humiliation he likely went through would've been for nothing. So maybe this task he gave to Titus will probably test to see if his suspension of Titus of corruption was warranted, if Titus has fallen to corruption it would be the "I told you so!" Moment for him. If he's wrong it would be more embarrassing for him

Two of the best moments in the game are: 1. The Dreadnought busting through a wall for its first entrance (I literally yelled "FUCK YEAH!" when that happened and almost woke my missus up, it was about 1am) 2. Calgar turning up and going full chad to save Titus & co.

Haven't played it yet, thanks for the heads-up on the story(already knew. Companionswise, there was an artwork depicting an ultramarine scout squad of mixed skin tones ready for action and it predates primaris by at least 8 years, so no surprises regarding Chairon or Cadriel(former seems more likable). Leandros becoming a chaplain was a definite surprise, guy looks like he's seen and went through alot in the meantime(and if I didn't know better, I could say he looks a bit like my brother or my twin(am the only child)). I read somewhere that original plan for space marine 2 (and 3) was vastly different than what the current one ended up being.

I like how Chairon is the only one who actually accepted Titus to start. He was the only one who didn't stand to lose any rank or status from Titus' return. Acheran didn't want Titus to take the position of 2nd Company Captain because it was a threat to Acheran's rank. Gadriel literally lot command of his squad because Titus took his spot as squad lead. Gadriel's position didn't change and he didn't care much. He was still there to follow orders of whoever was leading his squad and did so.

G'day Majorkill. If you decide to do another "not a Primarch", I would ask that they be pre-heresy/crusade-era. Perturabo should not have Ferrus' hammer, nor should Horus have any Chaos taint on his armour, nor should Lorgar. I don't know about the rest. Anyhoo, have a good one mate.

Hey MajorKill I love you but how is that not an illegal lottery? You pay money to get an amount of tickets every month, and the more tickets you have (the more money you pay) the higher chance you have to win. Those are highly illegal especially in Australia.

What if the Emperor wasn’t able to reach Nuceria in time to prevent Angron dying from the High Riders? How would having one less available Primarch affect the heresy with more lopsided sides? What would happen to the War Hounds? What would happen to Nuceria? Who do you think would go to Khorne?

It is implied that the Emperor can resurrect his Primarchs. In a lot of time and with a lot of Energy spent. So the Emperor will probably remove the nails from Angron's brain, and then try to resurrect him. If that happens, then a sane Angron might perhaps be on the cards.
