Fun Fact: The Epic of Gilgamesh is the oldest piece of literature known to man. There were probably older ones, but they've all been completely lost to time, and there is no evidence of their existence, so Gilgamesh is the earliest known one. We went over this in one of my high school english classes, and it's pretty cool. But yeah, learning about it and reading it as one translated, completed story, it's kind of clear there are some missing gaps. If anything, I'm surprised as much of it was as recovered as it was, but I still wish we were able to find the whole thing and know the whole story.

For those who don't get it at 1:42:20 any and every background character for a TV show or movie that is animated must have a model sheet (if its 2D) You cant just say "Put background crowd here" each background character has to have their own model sheet even if its a one-time person

Half right. Crowds have techniques that can cut down on animating time, but if you want it to look dynamic or don't want a blob of static faces, you can go the extra mile to spend time and animate a full crowd. But in the time of traditional animation, it took time, and if you made a mistake you had to start again from person 1 Incidentally, full crowds have only been an advent in times where you can slap together a model sheet, make a few extra rigs, and you can then drag and drop and animate everyone as you see fit; it's easier to make, easier to animate, and easier to edit if you want everyone to react in disgust instead of shock, or similar.

I'd say you should download videos for work to prevent takedowns from ruining things, and save on mobile data (y2mate is a good site for it, and VLC on Android lets you play video as audio)... but at 10 hours, even if it's downloaded at 360 or 240p, it's probably not the best idea.

There is audio of all the missing doctor who episodes, mostly from fans at home taping it with at-home recording equipment. There’s a lot of really interesting stories about the lost episodes, like of people effectively holding surviving tapes to ransom against the bbc, lost tapes being found in basements mormon churches and in television stations in Nigeria, and how they were junked in the first place. The BBC has been animating missing episodes over the past few years which has been nice.

"Solidarity" was a political movement which aimed to bring about a democratic government, but was brutally repressed during demonstrations (in 1970 at the Gdańsk port, where the military opened fire at workers on strike, killing a to this day unknown number of them). While the broadcast itself may be lost media, there are pictures available displaying the content of the hijacking. Im genuinely surprised that the people responsible got such low sentences, and even more so that they didn't mysteriously die in prison while serving them out.

Interestingly enough they recently dug up some very early stories that Sir Terry Pratchett wrote whilst working for a local paper. A group of fans dug through the local Newspaper's archives and managed to locate enough to release them as a book last year. They're very simple stories due to them being written for a tight deadline and word limit, but you can see the origins of various future stories in them. For example one story mentions "Morpork" which refers to his future discworld city "Ankh Morpork"

To add more to the list: There's also a 1985 game named Math Jam for the Apple II made by Naughty Dog (back then JAM Software) who are now known for games such as Crash Bandicoot, Jak & Daxter, Uncharted and The Last of Us. It was an educational math game where you solve math problems featuring a funny rounded character wearing shades named Jammer. The creators (who were highschool students) made this game for a friend in highschool who struggled to teach kids math. Multiple copies were made for that school. The game never received any public release.

One of my favorite pieces of lost media has to be the Latin American Spanish dubs of Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies, let me explain… Around the 50s, Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies came to Latin America through TV, but the shorts were divided in distribution packages, the shorts from 1930 to 1934 were dubbed in Film and Dubbing Productions in Puerto Rico starting in 1958, the shorts from 1934 to 1948 which were property of A.A.P were dubbed in CINSA studios in Mexico under the direction of Jorge Arvizu, also starting in 1958 (Note: Arvizu only dubbed the color shorts from this time) and the shorts made from 1948 onwards were dubbed in CLADSA studios also in Mexico under the direction of Juan José Hurtado, starting in 1955. Keep in mind that even if they were technically two series, the 3 dubs called the shorts collectivity by a single name “Fantasias animadas de Ayer y hoy” (animated fantasies from yesterday and today) the shorts were dubbed to be air cast in the Bugs Bunny show and the Porky Pig show, but a curious thing is that while the shorts were dubbed, the shows did not receive a dub, so the English audio track of the shorts being introduced remains intact CLADSA would only dub the 1948-1964 shorts and dropped after the closing of Termite Terrace, but Hurtado would be given the assignment to dub the black and white shorts that Arvizu did not dub, meanwhile, a new studio called SISSA, also located in Mexico was brought on in 1969 or so to dub the 1964-1969 shorts, they would later dub most of the 70s Looney Tunes tv specials and compilation movies. In the late 90s, after the success of Space Jam, Warner Bros decided to re-dub the entirety of the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies shorts whose rights remained to them, and by the early 00s, the original dubs were out of circulation, (although occasionally, some local channels in some countries air the original dubs of some cartoons, but there have only been a bunch of rare occasions that can be counted with the fingers of your hand) since most of the shorts were not sold in any home media format, apart from the ones included in compilation movies, the shorts with their original dub only exist thanks to VHS captures, out of all the Looney Tunes filmography, thankfully most of the shorts can be found today in the internet, but they are also a considerable amount of lost shorts and incomplete audios… And yes, Jungle Jitters, Coal Black and all the racist censored shorts were dubbed…

If theres any lost media i want found thats not on this iceberg. It’s the lost black ops 2 prototype footage of pre alpha tranzit. Tranzit was originally different than what was at launch, players hated the mode within zombies due to the fog obscuring the view for the player, lava constantly slowing you down, denizens to slow you down while on foot. Originally Tranzit was ambitious, having been the follow up to moon. It wouldve included cross progression with achievements along with alternate versions of tranzit to coincide with the completion of the easter egg. If you didnt do the easter egg you would have tranzit within the daytime, no denizens, no fog and no lava (seeing as you didnt blow up the earth in the moon EE). Many cod zombies fans included game preservationists are looking for this footage as it was completely different from what we got at launch including a different map layout including potentially a motel, a bridge and more. But these couldve been scrapped before this prototype or have not been developed. Our closest lead is a channel dubbed prototype preservation. He hosted a number of videos showing protoypes of older cod titles including bo2 but got terminated due to a C&D from Activision. His channel along with several cod prototype presentations are lost. I’m trying to gain traction for this as it’s something important to such a great game from the 2010’s.

Snow White was the first drawn animation feature film, since el aposttole was made using stop motion and paper cutouts, so it depends on how you define animation (since both are types on animation but usually stop motion is thought of as a separate catagory of animation then 2d and 3d) Also I added feature since there were short films made way before either movie.

looking out the stuff in Japanese about hitogata I found this person: 晴天 天晴 who posted the closest resemblance to what could be the original CM, saying obviously that it's the original thing. what seemed unusual is that the CM itself is really well presented together with other CM from Johnson (the cleaning products company) and Mitsubishi (with looney tunes cameo and everything). The video is tagged with the hashtag ＃怖いCM (kowai CM, scary CM) marked also as 発掘（unearthed）and the hitogata CM ends with the AC (Japanese Public Advertisement Organization) logo as it was the style of all the PSA from this organization at the time. The channel has very few but selected videos including another two marked as "kowai CM" of which one is from the AC organization too, very frightening (as scary or more than hitogata ), about the dissapearing of beaches in japan.

Regarding the "La Frikipedia". There is actually a recompilation of the all the entries of the website, I do not know if it is still available, but I have it downloaded on my phone, it is about 1 and a half GB of space.

Barely into the video and you’re starting off with my most wanted of lost media! C&V is one of my favorite pieces of lost media and I’ve always wanted to hear the final result. There was one theory that some songs were reused for Green Day’s trilogy and 2016 album Revolution Radio but they weren’t ever confirmed. Example being that their song from ¡Tré! called “Brutal Love” is supposedly a rework of “Dropout”, which the ending of the song goes “Dropout/Drop-dead hideous”. “Lazy Bones” could’ve also been a rework of “Sleepyhead” but that’s just my theory and that one could easily be debunked. This album has always been something I’ve wanted since I first heard about it when I was getting into their music in early 2016. It sucks that we may never get the studio version of the album, but we can only hope
