Just a friendly suggestion: I dont know if you have them in other roasters, but Portuguese Reconquista and and "early" days were marked by the help of the Knights Templar. In fact the very first portuguese king was raised by them and Portgual was a Templar stronghold even after the Pope Excomungated them. Its is fair to say much of the best Portuguese military might from that age came from the Templar Knights so it would be an historical and amazing feature if we had them. Thanks for the amazing work you put into this mod.

Fantastic! But the names are weird. The Plural of Vilao is Vilhoes, and Concelhia, it is Concelho.

Not "Vilhoes" but "Vilões" although i'm not 100% sure it's written like this on portuguese during this time period. And concelho it's not the plural of concelhia, I think it my work on this case as it's written due to ''concelhia" bring the female version of "concelhio" and it means as a part of a "concelho", a municipality. So it's milita raised from different municipalities

@@Helldiver_Sete it's not rusty per say, modern portuguese is actually very different from back then, like very different. Say for example "assombrado" nowadays it means haunted/scary but back then it meant beautiful or well-kept.

In modern Portuguese we do use "Vilões" as the plural of "Vilão". However, the video refers to a certain type of military unit that existed historically, which are the "Cavaleiros-Vilãos", not as "villains" (which is the more common meaning of "vilões" nowadays) but as men that came from a village, a "Vila" and weren't a part of the nobility but could afford a horse. Concelhia is just the feminine adjective for "Concelho", which is also used in a correct manner. "Concelhia" or "Concelhio" is something that relates to a "Concelho".

Is it just me, or did you guys remove some of the units of the planed roster for Portugal? In moddb, in one of the images from 2017 and on the roster showcase, you had a roster which included an archer unit, a sword cavalry unit, a moorish spear cavalry unit and a high edieval period ginete unit. What made you chose to remove those units from the roster?

* medieval I also find it weird how ALL the other Christian Iberian factions have access to a "Hidalgo" unit and Portugal doesn't have access to a unit called "Fidalgo" even though hidalgos and fidalgos were basically the same thing. Honestly, the way that you guys made the Portuguese roster, makes them feel more like a weaker version of the other Iberian factions rather than anything unique...

Great work! Amazing to see Portugal well represented. My only problem is with the names of the units. It is a bit badly written I think xD Maybe it is not portuguese EU but portuguese from Brasil?

@@Pdruvian Sure :) First, this is great work! My comment was a bit strong :) My source is that I am portuguese and know a bit of feudal history. Names such as "acontinados" and "mesnado do rei" I believe existed in old portuguese so it really shows you did a great research. However, and I might be wrong because I do not know everything from old portuguese words nor did I do a big research on this, the following names are not used in portuguese: "Besteiros" - I do not believe we would say that but could be correct. I would say maybe "soldados com besta" but I do not know if it is correct either (its more portuguese though). "Cavaleiros vilaos" - Vilaos does not exist. We say vilões but that means bad people :P Maybe it could have existed before "Cavaleiros apeados" - We do not use apeados to say that they are on foot. Apeado means that someone left you. I would say "cavaleiros a pé" If they were used before I apologise for my comment :)

Muslim factions should get an update soon, the reason that European factions have more units is because they are the most popular amongst players, but there should be some buffs to Muslim factions soon, but keep in mind that history in medieval has a lot of focus on europe and they are the most informed, so it is normal to see some Bias to european nations.
