I too was only following along with the in-game portion... then I went on my first vacation since covid on the final part of the mystery. So I missed the 4th/final leg and came home hours after it had ended... meaning I got no golden skull trinket or sails. I was really disappointed that I missed literally 7days of playing and it meant I got nothing

When the concept of adventures was released I was thinking that this would be the game changer for the story, to get consistent content for the lore to build up. While I was right at first, the delays and the mediocre A to B like voyages didn't really help with immersion. My main problem with adventures was the lack of innovation and planning, Sea of Thieves is an innovative game, different from many, but nothing has really given me the same feeling that Emissaries, FoTD, or Anniversary has given. There's about five years left of content, so there's still a chance to feel that way, but with only three updates a year now and with what's felt like at least half of the updates in the last year being QoL, I wouldn't be surprised if content was being slowed down because of the size of the game.

It's sucks how I need to look for sources outside the game in order to know more about the lore and the adventures. Why don't they just add books within the game itself to help newer players learn more about the lore and missed adventures/mysteries. Thanks for this though. Great recap

I shouldn't be watching this video just to understand the story, guve me my adventure mode and let me replay them, it's easy, every time there is and adventure playing for the timed event will get gou the rewards, and then when the next adventure arrives you release the old one into the adventure mode, it's basically an ongoing story mode and it's a lot of content for every new player to try, it could be both in safe seas and high seas, and should be of course a little reworked to function with any size crew

Still sad how _"little"_ to non-existent the return of *THE* Captain Flameheart feels. It is not truly shown in a TallTale, not even a short one and the gameworld has not changed. 😒 The "change" is delievered by the hourglass mode, with a grind so inherently exhausting, repetitive and loooooooooooooooooooooooooong that it is already the most hated addition and content of the game. With *'necessity'* winning over fun and many "completing" the grinds with lvl.100 on both sides, so that they can feel like they belong to the factions again which they love. 😑 So this is it then, huh? The long awaited update full of "lore & immersion". + No Flameheart in sight, no cutscene in sight that shows his revival. + Nothing showing Pendragon being sealed away either. + Skeletoncurse wearers diving in for Guardians. Athenaghosts diving in for Servants. 😆 + People saying the most obnoxious and exhausting things to you several times a week, when it was only once a month before at best. 👎 + No truly cool & stylish looking PvE ships for Guardians or Servants sailing the sea's, as a chance to cash in the value of *'on victory'* for sinking them. Not much change at all. And people like me still sitting on a small mountain of gold, never being able to spend it on something meaningful that I actually really want. Underwhelming. Disappointing. Disheartening.
