This was another great one! My younger brother was collecting the main Spider-man Series in the late 80s and I remember the first appearance of Venom in Amazing #300, and I was surprised to see that it looks like Carlton Drake was first making his plans in Amazing #297, even before Venom came on the scene. Feels like some great long-term planning from the writers on the series! (Or at least laying some seeds of ideas even if they didn't know yet how they would grow).

Huh, I only knew this Symbiote from Insomniac's Spider-Man 2, so I guess I just assumed it was Mary Jane in the comics as well, only for that to not happen at all. Thanks for informing me, Cozy!

The Scream symbiote isn't dead though! A strain of it was saved by Alchemax and most recently it and the other Life Foundation symbiotes were bonded to Silver Sable and her Wild Pack (Lightbright bonded with Scream!)
