ohh boy this was a hard one to make. I hope some of you enjoyed this video! this was a hard monkey on my back for about 2 years now. in the meantime i want to add some Notes. 1. this is the 2nd version of my full video, the first time i uploaded this it kept getting copyright claims (and apparently not one of them was for the 5 seconds of a Bad Wolves song). so if anyone is confused this is why i took the original down. i hope this version suffices the youtube algorythm. 2. despite my plans for the year i am going to take an extensive break from youtube to start exercising. I Felt like ive been rejecting my body for too long and i think i should do something about it. But this wont be my last video! i still love making these videos for you guys! 3. Also some of the episodes on HBO Max (now just MAX) were out of order when i wrote this video, so HBO Max is likely to blame for my janky viewing experience.

This sure was something. As someone who loves Steven Universe, you have certainly made me realize how much WASTED POTENTIAL the entire series had. Also a lot of fans consider season 1 THE WORST season and reccommend SKIPPING IT! What do you think of that? Great video btw, lots of effort and I loved your concepts and wish the show was actually like that.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. When i first watched this series i went in with an open mind, and ended up liking season 1 more than any of the other ones. Maybe thats why i prefer it that way. but if there is one problem with it, it's definitely that it has too many episodes lol.

Many people see more bad than good in SU, but no. The show did have wasted potential. But, the show has tons of good. Is it horrible NO, is it perfect, ABSOLUTELY NOT. I feel that it’s a solid 7 out of 10. It’s good. Did they rush the ending, yes, but it was unfortunately partly because of intolerance from parents who couldn’t accept modern ideas. I love the show, it was something that helped me through an emotional time for myself and was the first show to make me shed tears. Do I think the show is perfect, god no, Connie’s parents, the diamonds, and various side characters did not get enough development. Is the show bad, no, not overall. Yes the show has bad, but it has almost as much good. Why do I say it’s 7/10, because I accounted for games, merch, the fandom, and the way it helped lgbt. I personally say it’s a 6/10 on its own not bad just good, with the games and merchandise, a 7/10, but with the fandom, it’s still a 7 but a low one, Is the show outright bad, no. It’s not an insult to animation or whatever. The way someone sees this show, will not be the same as another. If I had to account for what other shows got from SU, then that would sour my opinion to a 6. Are people going to disagree with me, you bet your soul people will, is Rebecca sugar a horrible person, no, is Steven universe as a series and it’s tie in media outright bad. To some yes, but to me, it is just simply good, not great. Just good.

@@ThePrincessCH Luz and amity relationship is undeveloped, Luz as a main character is stubborn, naive and hardheaded. The plot tries to gives Luz a purpose to learn magic and ends up getting a teacher without teaching her anything. King as a side character is cringe and hooty is just a punching bag. There’s whole a lot more in the show then what it seems to present itself the beginning is poor yes but them other seasons I couldn’t say much. Considering that I had to stop watching the show since season 2 was cancelled and then came back without rewatching it till season 3

Did anyone else notice that this entire show basically hates on all of the concepts that make up social conservatism despite not being related to any real world politics? I know people accuse this show of being pro-fascism due to the questionable writing decisions with the diamonds but its still full of messages about how heirarchies are bad, hating people for differing from strict social norms who arent hurting anyone is bad, you should be able to love who you love etc.

I think it's the broken metaphors that kill what ever good intentions the show had. Like I wouldn't give the show the praise of being that progressive when its only LGBTQ representation where Pearl that was a lesbian because she was a slave obsessed with her master and Garnet that got the treatment of a Star wars gay kiss because of corporate restraint also they are all aliens rocks which their biology was never explained or doesn't make any sense

@@sonoio869 My point is, they don't do as much of a bad job at being a liberal show as people say. While they really screwed up with the Diamonds, the general ideas that this show pushes are explicitly liberal values. Legend Of Korra is more right wing

wow someone who doesnt like Stronger than You, or even most of the music its very strange and not something commonly expressed to me thats a red flag that you probably wont like the show lol might come back to this video because its very long and a lot of the points you make i cannot agree with at all haha like jaspers voice acting and how you uncharitably describe everythign happening. Like most of the stuff at the barn and the cluster happens over a few days actually, and the cluster being "defeated" non-violently is a moment of what makes steven universe so special in how it deals with its problems. Anyway love your passion about expressing your opinion on these things even if i highly disagree with everything lol
