2 Corinthians 6:1-2 We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that you receive not the grace of God in vain. For he says, I have heard you in a time accepted, and in the day of Salvation have i succoured you: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of Salvation. Amen.

God has given you a gift, and somehow linked your spirit with Mr. Spurgeon; his vibrance, eloquence and powerful sincerity comes through in each of your narrations, Mr. Childress. God's blessings to you, and aid you in your work for Him.

I think I am guilty of the Unpardonable Sin. 🥺 With a heart hard of sin. I don’t feel the “today” part. I’m also noticing that the truth is being suppressed in my heart non-stop.

If i wanted to speak on the heart of Charles, i could so easily say “how can the fruit of the Spirit be with him as he struggles so hard with depression all his life? Doesnt His Word say “be not dismayed?” And so, Charles even after knowing God displays a very deep transgression against the joy of God that surely is always available for the true believer” i could also talk about the falsehood of calvanism, the arrogance of believing one is part of the elect and some could never be without even a free will option to decide who we believe in. Christians do this all the time to eachother. And its such a shame, because Christ died while we were still sinners. And yet in every sermon i feel as though one cant step an inch to the right or left without being questioned as to the heart’s transformation via the Holy Spirit. Its not as if salvation itself was based on such ideas…

@jakeschwartz2514…….great comment; provokes thinking. I am taking your word about Spurgeon afflicted with depression. But first, and possibly, Calvin's personal history as recorded on Wikipedia may be the source informing me that Calvin was afflicted with a number of physical and psychological problems. Other articles on Wikipedia regarding individuals and societies of Calvin's time, i.e. the reformation, indicate a great deal of violence and at times leading to death. How to put this in perspective with reference to the Bible is puzzling to me. Likewise, what you point out regarding Spurgeon's depression is something to consider in the same way. It does seem that some Bible passages equate impairment with sin. Also, some passages equate impairment with generational sin but not in every case. Daniel 12:4 talks of knowledge increasing and maybe we need to consider this. Is all knowledge used appropriately? Ecclesiastes 3:11 talks of God making all things appropriate for their time and Isaiah 45:7 talks of God making darkness and evil. Then there are passages which indicate that God chastises those whom he loves. But how? With something evil in our day? Possibly, some toxins in the environment which may severely impair? Daniel 12:4 could be referencing our era. Likewise Jeremiah 16:16-21 may also reference our era and what man sees as applied science today may be what Jeremiah recorded as abominable in God's sight. Why do some religious groups, such as Amish, avoid as much as possible 'modern conveniences'?
