Has COVID made you more aware of your impacts on the environment when you travel?

When we spot more and more face covering masks in less than a year of pandemic surge dumped on nature, ther is an immediate clue about how aware people are regarding to this issue. In Britain for example amid to travel abroad restrictions, people had no choice than spending their holydays inside borders and a massive countryside exploring need started. The impact on secluded areas was catastrophic with the amount of face masks dumped everywhere. So is very obvious that for a great majority of citizens, the only covid impact was the lack of freedom during lockdown and nothing else. Real and sad thruth.

I am a tour guide and fellow teacher at European University of Rome. I teach Tourism and Territory in Italy, which is quite crowded year-long. I strive to create new destinations studying territories which wouldn’t be inserted in guidebooks and social medias, if people began to visit new and unknown destinations, this will lead to a better distribution of people, more rational resources exploitation and overall, a much mote rewarding experience for all! absolutely correct what you have mention in this video. developing tourism mean not only the huge infrastructure facilities and consuming natural resource. As a responsible tourist person we need to proactive to overcome this type of issues when ever its possible.
