It's funny how much the Collecting Industry has changed in the past 10 + years, with the over-saturation of companies and characters, and so many similar products. I've been collecting since I was a child but collecting mostly horror for over 20 + years and it comes down to controlling the "ID" and realizing "the want" is not "the need" and not jumping down too many rabbit holes as well as controlling how much I branch off on what I am collecting. As for the G.I. Joe, I had so many from the mid to late 80's but when my son was that age they were difficult to find. Once Toys R Us went out, I could not find any and even in Toys R US they were expensive. They did not have many and I think they were already geared to the collector and not the kid. Congrats on your new job all the best. Everything you said about family is so true. My family are great when we go out together and we have no real issues but when everyone is at home everyone is doing their own thing in a separate room. My sons are gaming my wifes on tiktok I'm on youtube or gaming. My kids have zero interest in my figure collection which seems to be most modern kids. Also yes home workout are the best. I agree that going all out at the gym is not sustainable long term. All the guys I knew that were Gym bunnies when they were young are all fat and in worst shape than those of us that never went to the gym. At the least do 30 push ups a day and you'll be fine. you have a good size to work with so you'll look great.

I think it’s healthy to slow down the hobby sometimes. I was collecting full force, then stepped back from the hobby and sold off a ton of my figures when my kids were born. I’ve slowly gotten back into it. Definitely hit Ross and other discount store. It’s ok to not get these figs when they first come out. Take care of your mental health and family first brother!!
