Please ignore all scam comments! Apparently AI can generate incredible images but can't recognize that someone with the name wHaTsApP pRoFiT with my exact profile picture is a scammer lol. Big thanks to OpenAI for letting me use the DALL-E 2 beta for this. Such a fun project! You can follow me on Twitter: twitter.com/johncoogan or join my discord: discord.gg/e9nKhPCNkq

Perfect way to describe how KZbin is obviously not putting in the effort to clean up their comments. So many obvious solutions to remove large quantities of spam that don't even require AI (just pattern matching). But applied AI could do so much more...

Throughout the video I was thinking how were you able to find so many appropriate images. And how is it possible that all of them shared the same production style. Commissioning them from a specific artist would obviously be economically unfeasible for the purpose of a youtube video. Then you really hit me with the twist at the end. Absolutely genius!

This video was so good, I had to watch it twice. Trying to solve these problems using deterministic "brute force", like searching the maze, indeed only works for very small problems. Modern AI (machine learning) uses probabilities to non-deterministically explore the search space with the heuristics being applied at the data collection, and data clearing stage, and well as within the choice of the machine Learning algorithm's architecture. It's still "brute-force"-ish, but look at the breakthroughs we get from that!

It's a stunning video, beautifully written. I've followed A.I and robotics all my life waiting for AGI and this video while illustrating beautifully the story also illustrates the compression in time its taking between leaps. Or to put it another way the exponential growth in computing and A.I research compounding onto itself that is keeping it accelerating ever faster. We are now seeing leaps forward in technical ability every month. As the two minute paper guy says, what a time to be alive!

Having received my PhD in CompSci in AI in 1987, the frameworks for AI were there, computer power and access to data were the main roadblocks to its development. I have always said that giving enough data and the power to analyze it, we could replicate Hari Seldon's "psychohistory" from Asimov's Foundation series. The internet has given access to the data, computing power has allowed the implementation of the AI frameworks, and it will only be a matter of time before Hari Seldon's theory will be a reality.

GTP3 could easily pass a Turing test. Is it human level intelligence? Not really, in some ways it's better, in others it's laughably inferior. But I could say the same about myself!! The philosophical side of AI will make your brain hurt. The only way to answer these questions it to mess with it ourselves. It's impossible to explain the shortfalls of AI to someone with no programming experience (I'm probably intermediate with Blueprints). They just don't understand computers only do what they're told, computers think differently and we aint even considered errors in code yet! The layman can't help but think of them like humans. And to someone who actually builds robots it's difficult to explain the complications caused by people anthropomorphising machines to anyone let alone a programmer. I think the main problem with AI will be people reaction to it.
