It's crazy that all these years of playing KOF that the true story of the game involved Kyo and Iori. I was satisfied with whooping ass with Kim and them, Fatal Fury and Art of Fighting teams, and the Women's team. It took me to get KOF Orochi Saga on the Nintendo Wii to finally understand the story. SNK does an exceptional job of character development and depth. Excellent Work Nabil.

As a long time fan since FF1, AoF, IW, MS, SamSho and KOF94' (yup I have been on this ride since the beginning). This docu-series is fantastic, exploring the mythos, connections, and history. There is so much lore established throughout SNK's history. KOF has evolved, but also the journey of the characters is an amazing one. Even more mature than its competition, then and even now. I always loved the art style, it gave characters their own personality, energy, and vibe throughout. Plus the soundtracks have gone beyond the sound of the NeoGeo, original, arrange, and songs that get stuck in your head.

imagine a SNK Cinematic Universe, starting with Art of Fighting, 2nd movie Fatal Fury, 3rd movie Psycho Warriors, 4th movie Kusanagi. all are interconnected with post credit scene. final movie is The King of Fighters where the big bad is Rugal .... please somebody forward the idea to SNK top heads, hire a good film director like Jon Favrue to kick things start :)

Hopefully, one day we get a true anime for KOF. The story is so well-written and underrated for a fighting game. It far eclipses whatever Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat have. There's over 100 relevant characters and they each have an in-depth backstory with no cliches.

You missed out that goenitz is the reason when rugal had orochi power in his blood after they had a confrontation hence why rugal lost an eye but didn't die. Out of respect goenitz decided instead of killing him that rugal might be useful so he gave him the power to see if one day has can be a vessel for orochi resurrection :)

Nabil, for cinematic purposes, you could use iori and kyo D-assault super from NGBC (neogeo battle collosioum) which also resemble the canonical way of them killing orochi together (iori choke orochi neck while unleashing his pure yasakani red fire, but in the game it use purple flame sadly xD, and kyo punch iori back with mushiki to enhance both of their fire into a greater explosion)

The 'Orochi' in NGBC is actually a duplicate of the original Orochi called 'Mizuchi', created by WAREZ (which is led by a mysterious man known as 'Goodman'). While Orochi wants to wipe out humanity in order to protect the planet, Mizuchi is a nihilist who hates life and wants to send everything back to Gaia as soon as possible. As a playable character, he's relatively balanced, but as a boss, he can be described as 'KOF '97 Orochi without the bad a.i., on a turbo, and with enough health to survive a nuclear blast'. If he's the one to defeat Goodman at the end of a 'Story' playthrough, then he'll succeed in his plan to release Orochi into the world again.

You forgot to mention a few things: Iori's riot of the blood which nearly killed Billy and Eiji in 95' Geese's curiosity as a result of this, enters 96 himself and sets up Billy, Mary, and Yamazaki to join 97, Yamazaki is a hakkeshu who denies Yashiro who asks him to join the Hakkeshu in reviving orochi. Overall, an amazing recap of the general history!

Seeing that Rugal is strong enough to survive this attack Goenitz allowed Rugal to take same of the Orochi power but warned him to use it only as a last resort because it will probably destroy him.

Just to add a new detail about Orochi he was called Gaia s will witch granted him with power of elements of nature ! Like Fire , wind etc... ! How about that ! ? Guess I know more than you do pal ! And about 1800 years I already know that : Yasanaki ,Yata and Kusanagi team up to seal Orochi but Yagami s clan made a pact with Orochi to give them power but in exchange they were cursed to death etc...
