Whether it was messing with the Russians when Tony repeatedly told her not to, dating Ralph Cifaretto or Richie Aprile, and causing a fight at Sofia's soccer match resulting in bad publicity for Tony, Janice, and the Soprano family name. One thing was for certain, there was no denying Janice's stupidity and the audiences bitterness towards her legendary character. But is there one episode that stands out amongst the rest where we see just Janice showcase her true colours?

The silver lining about that is because Meadow overheard a pissed Janice off to the level the house was trashed Meadow decided to clean the whole house by herself. That's the difference between Meadow and AJ, Meadow knew she was wrong and did something about it AJ wouldn't care it wasn't going to be his problem he never took responsibility for anything.

I have BPD myself and at times we have too much empathy. Livia more likely had NPD, she hated seeing others succeed at anything because he was miserable and jealous. Even stopping Jonny Boy from running the super clubs for Rocko was holding him back in life. Tony said she would put Janice down about having bf's or losing weight too. People who are unaware they have NPD behave like this. People who are aware can try and change.

We have that "tradition" here in Serbia, where people put stuff like desserts, coffee, chips, cookies... next to a deceased family member's grave. Basically like having lunch with them, coffee as if they were there. It is a bit odd, I always find it so but it's something that's been around for a long time. Knowing how much pain my mother feels when she does that at my grandfather's grave for an example, it pisses me off when Janice did what she did in the series.

Bobby was the true-to-life, ideal 'Gary Cooper' that Tony always yammered about. Something endearing about him, especially the love he held for his wife. I hated that Janice got anywhere near him. That final scene, from the former Sacrimoni[sic?] (now Janice's) home, the cold and bleak scene always felt like she got what she both wanted and deserved: to be a mob wife. That included the grim reality of what it's really like. No more running, changing personality and fooling others. Can't cause a mess and leave on a whim. She has to face the reality daily.

Janice wanted a normal life and would do anything to get it. Even throwing, pushing Tony's top earner (Ralph Cifaretto) down the steps. After watching "Talking Sopranos" Steven Schirrpa who played Bobby Bacala Baccalieri thought Janice was one of the most evil characters on the show. Which is better? Sleeping with Richie Aprile with a gun to her head, sleeping with Ralph Cifaretto while placing the gun up Ralphie anus or normal Bobby and His trains?

Bobby Batch-i -lee-airy...Right from the get-go, Bobby and his family is abused by the Sopranos. Tony forces Bobby into that fight at Maserone construction, then kill the Montreal musician. Bobby senior is ordered to kill Mustang Sally. Resulting in senior's death. AJ terrorizes the son and daughter, with the Ouija board. Janice puts Bobby III through the ringer, with her style of torture. Junior mostly disrespects Bobby throughout the series, except for that envelope when he is in the hospital. Even then, it appears it was an attempt to reconnect with Bobby, when Bobby was ordered by Tony to consider Junior dead to him. Side note, Tony and Janice traumatizes Sophia, when they have that Harpo revelation at the dinner table. We don't actually see Sophia frightened, but we her squeals during the encounter.

That episode didn't make me hate Janice any more than I already did, in fact her getting with Bobby seemed to be one of the only decent things she was involved with in the show no matter how she got there.

@@Spooky_515 I think ultimately they were good for each other and considering Boby was a dies in the wool gangster already who was never going to leave that lifestyle she helped toughen him up . I think she genuiunely loved Bobby and his kids.

@@juanramirez-wk8ty The way she treats Bobby Jr. and Sophie once she and Bobby are married....no, she had no love for those kids, though she tried to put on a show that she did. She treated both kids like crap. She embarrassed Sophie in Cold Cuts by beating up the soccer mom (regardless if you feel the other mom asked for it, Sophie was still humiliated by it). Not only does she not apologize to the poor girl, she tries to justify what she had done. Even Bobby called Janice out on her behavior in this one. She humiliates Bobby Jr by forcing him to go on a kiddie ride with her and Nica in front of everyone, probably to show off what a 'wonderful' parent she was. Little wonder that he and Sophie want to get away from her once their father is murdered. Janice was never Mother of the Year, not to her stepchildren and certainly not to her own son, Harpo. The fact that we never see him turn up in Jersey should tell you that her parenting abilities left much to be desired.

Janice only wanted Bobby because he saw how much he loved Karen. She wanted that for herself and she dismissed his grief in order to get what she wanted. I cannot stand Janice, the actress is amazing though.

I never hated Janice, but the episode that made me realize she was just as bad as Tony was the episode with Livia’s records. By the time she weasles into Bobby’s family and beats up the soccer mom, its completely expected behavior and I’m SO confused as to how anyone could have had their opinion of her changed by that event Edit: If you hate Janice but like Tony, you need to confront the fact that you either are a misogynist, or you have a romantic feelings for Tony that blind you from his immoral acts

Tony does what he does to mobsters and their clientele , janice does the same shit to everyone in her life. Tony follows the rules of the life that chose him, Janice does not follow any rules. Hating janice is not Misogyny, it is a defense mechanism humans have gained thru evolution, sort of like the way diagnosed psychopaths give most people a nervous condition known as "The Creeps" which causes them to distance themselves from the potential source of danger. If you do not hate her, you are her.
