The flour thing is 1000% legit. In my science class many many years ago we use to make this happen on a much smaller scale. This is why places that work around stuff like wood dust and flour are heavily ventilated.

The flour when aerosolized can be flammable, so will baby powder. First time I was introduced to this reaction was in high school chemistry class. Look up lycopodium powder, that's most likely what was used in the movie. Grain dust in grain silos are very dangerous just because of the explosive nature of fine particles floating in the air under the right conditions can level a silo.

Take a pinch of non dairy creamer and drop it over an open flame and watch it flare. Wheat grains, flour, creamer, all kinds of powders can be used to explode that aren't normally flammable. Don't think sugar works, but can't remember. Maybe powdered sugar.

There is something interesting about the threat Robert made at 10:39 to his former squad. He said that it was unfortunate that he couldn't kill them twice. Miles said that his brother had to be remembered, otherwise it is as if he has died twice. Robert took note of that, which means he desired for those men to not only die, but also be forgotten.

Your mention of Chloe Grace Moretz in your recap of the first Equalizer film sparked a memory of another intense performance of hers: in the horror film Let Me In, she did a great job playing a vampire - she made the character both very sympathetic and terrifying, not an easy combo to pull off. Pedro Pascal also plays one of the lead characters in Narcos, one of the cops who is after Pablo Escobar. Also a great performance.

If there's a lot of flour, dust, or anything with small particles like that floating around in the air it is EXTREMELY flammable. Grain silos would explode if any kind of spark or heat source happens within one because of the dusty air. Now-a-days they would do things like pump inert gases like nitrogen or argon into the silos so that there's less oxygen in there since it's the oxygen that combusts.

As astonishing as it may sound, the fact is that flour dust is more explosive than gunpowder and 35 times more combustible than coal dust. However, it is not explosive in small, non-dispersed quantities. For example, if you burn a small pile of flour sitting on top of your kitchen counter, it won’t explode since it’s not dispersed in a cloud-like form. The case is different when dealing with airborne flour particles, as they have ample oxygen to fuel combustion. Combine that formula with multiple secondary dust sources in a confined space, add an ignition source, and you have a recipe for a chain reaction that could lead to an explosion. During the past 35 years, more than 500 incidents have been reported in flour mills across the U.S., which have caused more than 180 deaths and 675 injuries. This represents an accurate picture of how destructive exploding flour can be. Posted on January 16, 2020 by HafcoVac in Blog, Flour and Food

Another great one. Bit of geek science here. Flour DOES burn like that! bit it has to be airborne & in its smallest particles. For a fun little experiment to test this, & THIS MUST BE DONE OUTSIDE! AWAY FROM FLAMABLE ITEMS!!! Take a candle & a tea spoon of flour. Light the candle & from a distance of a metre or so away, blow the flour onto the flame, if not just above the flame so the flour falls down a little. Hope everyone is having an amazing week & much love to all from here in the UK

It was flour. When it's aerated like that, the fine flour has more surface area mixed with an abundance of air. Fire only needs three things...air, fuel and an ignition source. The fan spread it throughout a large area. With it igniting so fast in a contained area....explosion.

I liked how this one was a little more closer, more personal for McCall. Betrayal has a way of bringing out the worse in people. But you don't just think that with McCall, you'll get away with it. Bigger, better action sequences. Especially the fight inside of his car and the battle within the storm in his old neighborhood. EQ2 as Denzel's first sequel outgrossed EQ1. I saw EQ3 twice at AMC. I think the word you're looking for is "episodic", which is when each episode is a standalone story (eg things like SVU, Star Trek etc.) contrasted with "serialised" which is when there's a larger story played out bit by bit over the whole season (eg Breaking Bad, Game Of Thrones). "Procedural" refers to a show in which the "procedure" makes up the content, typical in cop shows where the cops finding evidence and tracking down the bad guy is the subject of the show.

Getting a full break like in the movies is very hard. It takes quite a bit of torque to fully "snap" a neck. But even if it doesn't break you could be in a halo for a while.
@w1975b Жыл бұрын
I'd think if the break were complete, then the nerves can't send signals to the heart to keep beating, so death would be immediate. I worked in a chiro office and the chiropractor said it does require a lot of force to break a neck, more than what's applied during adjustments. I still didn't want my neck adjusted (as a job perk) that way, I asked for the activator to be used. But I'm always tense, so my neck muscles were and having someone pull on them in that condition is not good.
