That part with Miles and Robert in the apartment building was powerful. It shows how he is lost with no direction and Robert can see the greatness in him that he can't see in himself. He has no male role model. It shows how easy it is for young black boys to lose their way. Makes me tear up everytime I see it.

Another thing was, that Denzel back a few years ago was talking about a young 8 or 10 year old was called Lil yum yum that was a child that was a Lil ganster and was a shooter in the kids neighborhood. A man told this story to Denzel when he was in a taxi. So when he said to miles "do you wanna be a Lil yum yum?" it was a real person that was a very bad 8 or 10 year old little boy.

Im so excited for Equalizer 3. Im a sucker for this genre (John Wick, Nobody, AVA with Jessica Chastain, Polar with Mads Mikkelsen) but Equalizer does it a bit differently with Denzel's calm and collected demeanour. It's almost ASMR with killing involved.

There's no one better than Denzel Washington!! Not no one. He's the best actor ever in history. He has always made great films. And to get into character he takes a month and goes and meditates. For a whole month he gets into character.

Denzel and Anquan Fuqua have great chemistry together. He said Denzel has leeway to offscript anytime with him, because he knows it will be magic. He delivered again with the scene with Miles. Lil Yummy was a 11 yr Gangster Disciples in Chicago, who was ordered to kill rival gang members in '94, execution style. He was killed himself for fear he'd snitch, by 13 and 14 yr old brothers also controlled by the same gang. Denzel spoke on him in the past, so it had a deeper meaning in the scene. Anquan said he just the camera guys to keep plenty of film and not to miss anything.

i like that in the beginning with the business dudes, he punished the last guy, but was still KIND about breaking his hand lol.....he didnt ask the other guys what they use, and broke his non primary so he can still get around.

He was portraying a Muslim man in Turkey wearing a kufi... the skullcap we saw him in. He is an ex CIA contract killer with a conscience. His wife died who was a link to his humanity. Money other than being able to purchase his books, live his sedentary life is unimportant to him. I was so mad at Miles not staying quiet in the safe room that I could have screamed. He came out way too soon. The young Pedro Pascal (way before Mandalorian) who was McCall's friend when they were contract killers together was in love with money and totally amoral with his other contract killer buddies. Great movie. Good reaction guys...😊

I think the first one is the better action movie, the second one is the better movie. Him taking the guys out at the Home Mart in the first one had me cheering. Him finding the old mans sister in this one had me crying.

@orangewarm1 I agree it sometimes pushes the reality envelope, but I actually enjoyed the non-action scenes as much, if not more. I think the character is more complex and has a Zen like wisdom. That's what I really enjoy, and Denzel really sells it.

This is my second reaction video of theirs that I'm watching. I am on the fence with this channel. I probably would like it more if they reacted to movies he has not seen before. He has a habit of making comments right before a scene happens giving away that something is about to go down. I've seen other reactors that have seen the movie be very careful with this.
