Denzel Washington is in Sicily equalizing some crime/drug lords and gets shot in back in the process, he spends time recovering in a town in Sicily, adapting to life there. Denzel recovers from being shot in the back in a matter of 3-4 weeks and spends time drinking coffee, exploring the town and getting to know it’s Italian citizens. What a riveting action movie!

finally a review with some actual standards lmao. i really hated how in the final act the mafia ring leader just makes plans with an unarmed denzel, who is revealed as the murderer of his brother in the middle of a tense town square where everyone is at gunpoint... how can you buy into that being even remotely real? denzel woulda just been shot dead wtf lmao

so ye the whole movie has 2min and 20 secs of action the rest is dialog basically you have seen the action scenes already in the trailer. only the opening action scene was choreographed, the other ones werent

Just watched this the other day and as someone who loved the first equalizer (second was okay) I thought this third installment complete garbage, _shockingly bad_ - the plot, pacing, score, characters, camera work... this movie made me angry for having watched it. Extremely disappointing. I now use this movie's reviews as a litmus test for whether or not I should value the opinion of any given KZbin movie reviewer.

@@TheGreekGeekMovieReviews Well that's a tough one, been thinking about this and to me its as if whoever wrote E3 had never seen the other two and only had the gist of the plots described to them by someone who had seen them but not recently. And yes I am aware the same guy directed all 3, all the more the tragedy. For me the first movie had a kind of 70s vibe, a bit campy but also charming, very compelling characters not even considering the lead - a tragic prostitute, some of the best Russian gangsters Ive ever seen in a movie, another tragic prostitute, then Martin Csokas shows up - _... who I am is complicated. What I am is a little easier. I'm a threat. I alter outcomes..._ fantastic character, riveting, complete badass, then there's the stylized action scenes, the whole stopwatch thing, all this along with a goofy side plot about working at a big box, yet somehow it all works, a bit uneven but overall it really works, remote drop movie for me. 2 had some of that but eh.... not memorable, whereas 3 definitely had none of that, in fact it leaned a bit too far into absurdity for me. The bad guys were terrible, laughable, not scary, compared to 1 they were caricatures of badass mobsters. There was just nothing in 3 that worked for me, the setting, the plot, the pacing was basically an exercise in what not to do to maintain interest, some of the cinematography and crazy soundtrack at times were so silly I just could not....literally sitting in front of the tv doing the "what the fuck is this shit" body language. For me this movie was the Phantom Menace of equalizer movies, I feel like I could only do it justice by breaking down what I hated about it (and why) scene by scene. And Im not even trying to be dramatic, I am baffled that anyone likes this movie at all, let alone claims it is their favorite of the three. Those comments have to be shills right? Bots? I mean.... the movie bombed, I am not alone in my thinking here.

Not all of them suck. It’s just that Hollywood is such a corrupt machine that the original writers get overshadowed by whatever lame idea can make the studio execs the most money.

Saw you from Letterbox,I actually liked the slow paced film which makes the in action moments more satisfying it wasn't perfect but It was really stupid unlike the trailers for other action movies I saw before the movie started....Like you want to talk about a franchise that should have stopped after two movies The Expendables is certainly one of them😅

@@TheGreekGeekMovieReviews I didn't love it I had literally like one or two small minor problems with it overall,It's a better film than the equaliser 2 which for me the only really good part about that movie was the final fight so it's a good change of pace for the 3rd one,And more so than any others that new Expendables movie looks somehow worse than any of the latter fast and furious movies 😆

I liked it quite a bit but I do notice the flaws in these movies, but I kind of let it slide similar to how I enjoy a fair bit of Fast and Furious movies (I know I’m not proud of that lol) Since Denzel is about to be 70, I wasn’t too upset there wasn’t much action, but I completely get the criticism. I really loved the climax honestly. Played out like a horror movie and I thought that section of the movie was really cool.

It was kind of slow. I was irrated at how dimly lit damn near every scene was. Very hard to tell what was going on sometimes. #2 is still my favorite.

Needed some action to keep me awake during my grave yard shift security Job, So Naturally I look at Netflix to see what's Interesting, I notice Equalizer 3 hmmm, Lets give it a try, the first 2 weren't that bad, this has to be good right? I turned it off after the first hour and said why the hell am I even watching this trash. I was literally fucking falling asleep in my chair, Then I found my self watching your review instead, laughing about how bad it is. Straight to Netflix for a Reason. What a Scam. 10/10 review 1/10 movie. Denzel Sold out Harder then Bruce Willis in Cosmic Sin. What an absolute Shit show. Terrible.

@@TheGreekGeekMovieReviews Yes I have. Dropped the review already on my channel. The tone was very different ie slow lol. BUT I found it VERY interesting nonetheless. We really saw the pain he dealt with and remorse and at the same time the enjoyment he gets from every kill. It’s as if he’s borderline psychotic. Much different tone but enjoyable for what it was.

Equalizer 3 I rented it and had turned it off twice. Did finish it though. I could see from the first scene that it was taking tooo daaaamn long. Like let's go! It doesn't take that long to establish a scene. People have a gun to your head and are too afraid to attempt to restrain you? Fogetaboutit! ... Sorry. :cough: It's a slow movie where things just happened. Someone's pinching your hand, you have a free hand on a gun and you aren't going to try to shoot them at point blank range? Love Denzel but he was falling apart through the last half of E2. And he's supposed to be injured here and yet can still out CQC men half his age? CIA chick's supervisor gave no directions. Was just there to have his mouth open. CIA chick does nothing, even when Denzel tells her. Special effects, sound, camera work and music were on point. Fights were better than that last Charlie's Angels. So that's something. The title should be Bad Things Happen In Italy. The End. And the mind virus out there...! Everyone swears this is the best movie ever. These are the same people raving about The Batman. It has Denzel. It's not woke. And bad people die. That's the good part. Doesn't make it a good movie as a whole.

The main lesson part I can take away from the equalizer 3 will have to be finding peace from within yeah this comment sound cringe but here me out from through out the year's of robert mcall taking down S-tier mafias snd doing outside mission in addition This movie is a great representation of A healing journey and grow as a better human being even tho life may not be all that much the center sweetness to it is having the people that uplifting and bring your spirit up and for a better tomorrow. I hope this message makes sense ❤

My biggest issues were that the main villain was jusr a big whinny and sweated alot instead of fighting back people were supposed scared of mafia if it was easy to take them down why people didn't do it themselves🤔

In this flick Denzel is no longer a man. In fact, I think he's actually dead. He was shot and killed by an "innocent" as they are the only ones who can hurt him. He's in purgatory awaiting his ascension to heaven but his sins are large and he must atone for them. The ending ceremony was to cast away his sins and welcome him to heaven. The final scene is him having entered heaven and living his life out there in the way he always desired.

JESUS is the one that takes them away, he's The one on the cross signified throughout the entire movie yet Mary is the one that's glorified, the catholic church is glorified not the bible or the word of God who came down in the flesh to pay for our sins. Should have happened from the start if that’s all it took. And as me and my brother thought in the beginning when he got shot in the back and that didn’t hinder him at all the entire movie so could have just been taken out.. it didn’t even play a part about him learning to trust people again cause they could betray him potentially… Ranked as they came out equalizer 1 10/10, equalizer 2 7/10, mostly cause it felt the same but I liked Pedro pascal as a villian and their final fight was fun enough but 3… boring asf 3/10

Im italian, all depicted was not just wrong was totally wrong, like laughable wrong, the movie was horrible, the logic was absent, the location was not used properly, the human relations were non sensical, why he likes to live there?? nobody knows, why the cappuccino if he wants tea and why than they give him tea all the other times? The food in the stall on the beach were maroccan and middle eastern....why if you are in Italy?? Does someone think that the mafia in Italy act like there is no police??? Bombing police car without retailation? Asking for money from small businesses in front of everyone?? Killing handicap people in front of everyone and don't care about the consequences?? Napoli in not in Sicily and Amalfi the small town on the coast is also not in Sicily. This was a bad western movie thrope, about the lonely cowboy that started to like the town where he ends up and deal with local bullies but made from someone that never heard about mafia and italy or geography or logic And the CIA agent was useless, just a filler to make the movie long enough, the police killing unarmed people was hilarious, in Italy police can't shoot you unless you can show that you. Are in danger, shooting at a closed door??? It could have been a kid behind the door, anyway without the CIA lady nothing would have changed, useless and waste of time

The movie sucked, barely any action, even denzel wasn't at his best acting wise. Plus, all the Catholic messages completely disregarding Jesus Christ, who paid for our sin debt in full!. The cross means NOTHING WITHOUT THE ONE WHO DIED ON IT AND RESSURECTED.
