I actually like Brisingr the most for it's ecclectic focus. There was always this sort of intense curiosity emanating from the series like in Eldest when Eragon learns about ant biology, poetry, ethics and more besides combat preparation. In Brisingr we have dwarven and urgal politics, sword-forging issues, moral dilemma's with Sloan and the painless soldiers, Elva's curse or having to perform cosmetic surgery on a baby, some payoffs from earlier books and the best prose yet.

The prose definitely was a huge highlight for brisingr, and I definitely appreciated it more upon this most recent reread. As I was editing this vid, I am starting to think that C was maybe too harsh. There was some decent stuff in there for sure.

I thought the sword forging scene in Brisingr was awesome. It really shows how you can use magic to skirt the rules of magic. And then at the end he has a sick sword to show for it Like you, this series really sparked my love for reading fantasy, and for that I will always love it Eka aí fricai un Shur'tugal

I loved everything about the sword forging scene! Possibly my favorite from that whole book, and there are a few other high points that I really appreciated as well. For me, it was a book with a few very high moments and many low moments - from a storytelling perspective.

I reread all of the books multiple times except for brisingr because the middle drags on, after the dwarves it gets interesting and that is like near the end. I also had the same feeling regarding the last book because as a teen I really disliked the ending because the fight was kinda cringe but I recently listened to it and I changed my mind a lot, it is now a completely different vibe especially after reading Murtagh, this books saves the 4th book like a lot

I will never forgive that damn she-elf. Broke my teenage heart 💔 and they should make a tv show version and make it proper!!! To the book and make it violent and not dull like The Witcher ended up like.

@@LoreoftheWorldsglad to know I’m not the only one 😂 What are your thoughts on Jules Verne? I read them when I was 16-17 and now at 20 they’re even better!
