My Irish Ancestors came to Australia after the 1850s, now 5 generations later I sit here in Perth and let this beautiful music sooth my spirit. I was wounded in Vietnam in 1968 and then worked in Bushmills, County Antrim, for all of 1970. I felt so sad for all the injured and killed in the "Troubles". I walked the Giants Causeway many times to find peace. I often visited Cushedun and Cushendall to hear the folk songs sung by the young folk. I travelled all over Ireland and found so much in common with the Australian Character and realize that so many Irish came to Australia in the past that we absorbed your love of life into our ways. Thank you Ireland and my Ancestors for these gifts. Brian Buzzard

Being of irish decent on my fathers side my grandmother was a pure Irish gypsy from the day she was born till the day she passed away six months after my grandfather oassed away back in the mid 70's she tell us grandkids about Ireland and how much that wanted for us to go and visit but never have had the chance to do it myself because of some legal stuff . I've been listening to irish and Scottish music for i long time not just on st paddy's day but when i miss my grandpa and grandma which is alot at times because they both where the best grandparents any kid could ever wish for so to my grandparents love you both and miss you on this day and every day that i have left in this lifetime of mine cannot wait the day to be able to give you both hugs and kisses till that day ill never forget you both or let your love that you shown us all what love should and that how love between you both was so precious for each other that you both couldn't be part for to long in the time you both had on earth .

We are still amigos 50+ years later despite me being a global rambler. I return every few years and increasingly worry about the societal wreckage of the Sean Tir while still loving the land, language and perhaps most, an Ceoil (Music). A Donegal Rebel Abroad.

Does anyone know "Peace Song" by Brier. I understand almost everything, but some words I don't understand. The song starts with "Politicians weren't to sit round the table, to each other they'd nothing to say. They must take the blame for a lot of the shame, they just brought there a lot of the pain..." I would appreciate to get the whole lyrics. TIA Robert from Rosenheim, Bavaria. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hamXq3-vjZVpn6c I don't understand only a few words. EG: "without fear all the bullets are blast"
