So funny, I wore an apron for the first time this morning in months before I saw this video! This is just the encouragement I needed!

I love this! ❤ I do feel ready for the day when I put my apron on. I have an old one that I’ve had for years. I can never find any at our goodwill I don’t think people around here wear them much. 😢 Apron Diva has some beautiful ones. I would love to get a pretty one some day. ❤

Fun topic! I am now newly inspired to start wearing my apron. Love the thought that it's like our armor ❤

Oh yes, I like my aprons! Thank you Sherry that reminder of our reliance is on the Lord was so timely. And the passage Jeremiah 17-5-10, it was like God was speaking directly to me with a situation I'm going through right now.

Dear Sherry, just this week I have been telling my daughter that I think I need to start wearing an apron. I have stains on the belly area of my shirts (mostly from cooking). I have never worn aprons in the past (only when I worked at the Cracker Barrel for a short stint). Thank you for the inspiration! I love the ideas for necessities in the pockets! :)

Have you ever written any devotionals, Sherry? When you were reading your notes I was thinking how they sounded like a devotional. If you did, I'm sure it'd be valuable to many of us on this similar path. Also, I so loved this video! I've been really seeing the value in aprons lately, and also seeking Jesus on the topic of better time/house hold management. This video and a few previous ones have been a really good help for me in those areas. Thanks again for sharing your blessed wisdom and just your lovely self with us all 💖

Thank you for your sweet comment--I've actually thought of creating one. It may be a future project!

If you can find the time, I'd love to learn to sew (also possibly other, similar things, such as knitting, crocheting, embroidery, quilting, etc) by watching you. It is SO HARD to find good, quality tutorials that aren't given by people who support things I do not. And if they don't outwardly support those things, their viewers do. (I hope you can read between the lines to know what I'm referring to.) I know the basics, especially sewing by hand, but I'm still definitely a beginner. If this is not a journey you'd embark on, perhaps you or a fellow viewer could point me in the right direction?

Sounds like a lot of fun, but sort of off-topic for this channel, although it may be a real need among homeschooling families. Hmmm....
@katie7748Ай бұрын
@MomDelights Yes, it is a bit off-topic, I admit. Maybe just some suggestions as far as a nudge in the right direction for those of us who desire to include Home Ec in our homeschool if you know of any? I'd like to sign us up for in-person classes, but that doesn't exist here and we know very few with these skills to privately teach us. Those who do have them are unable (or unwilling) to teach for various reasons. Ah, well, there are always books aplenty and some good old-fashioned figuring it out for ourselves, right?

I learned how to crochet from KZbin. I will link a channel that helped me. I didn't know how to hold a hook before watching her videos. It was very helpful. Best wishes to you and keep at it, you can do it❤ here is the link, I believe her channel is called Remarkable Crochet kzbin.info/www/bejne/nHScoZWud76lgc0feature=shared

Sherry, a little off topic, but I'm looking at your Lesson Books. Do you simply do it by grade? I have a third grader who is a great reader going into 3rd. I'll be doing the McGuffey's second reader with her (the original).
@MomDelightsАй бұрын
I really do not go by grades. It's more about giving a child something that they feel comfortable with while offering just a smidgen of challenge. Too little challenge: boredom and loss of interest. Too much challenge: frustration and loss of interest. If you go to the blog on my website, MomDelights.com, and do a search you will find a post where I suggest a test for evaluating this.
