100% this!!!! I have been struggling for years because I've always been concerned about 'failure' and it really put a stranglehold on me as an artist. Something happened recently and was able to let that fear go and my ability and confidence have skyrocketed.

You share from the heart and teach and talk about things that most artists don’t…nitty-gritty stuff that effects all artists at one point or another. I appreciate you so much!

Great advice in here, I wouldn't show anyone my sketchbook simply because it's full of random sketches brain burps and ideas, it looks nothing like the art I produce, it my place for experimenting and play working out composition and things. It probably wouldn't make any sense to anyone else lol. Recently I've taken a long break from social media and just played and created for me it was soo much more enjoyable and I've created much better art because I've just chilled and taken my time. Don't get me wrong social media has a place but it's not conducive for creativity

I love watching you paint, and have picked up a few techniques from you. I only ever paint with purpose, meaning that I will draw from references that inspire me. It has to mean something to me, then I can paint from the heart. I never ask for money either, all my artwork is free. That way the pressure is automatically off me to create “a masterpiece” . These days I create purely for my own enjoyment, if others appreciate my work that’s all well and good, but first and foremost is “what will creating this bring to me? How much joy will this be?” When your heart is engaged in creating then I find that automatically you will create the best art. 🥰 that Coal Tit is a beauty ❤️

I love this speach... We tend to belive that what we see on a short on tik-tok is an easy a quick tuturial...and we do not realize how many hours of preparation it takes to arrive at this level. Thank for reminding this to all of us❤.

I really like you. Thank you so much... This video was about my exact problem and I loved drawing - before posting it publicly, but the pressure to show good sketches just flattened everything for me. But I want to go back to just drawing , just enjoying , just making my drawings alive. And I really want to make bad mistakes and be able to learn from and laugh at them. Thank you so much.

Love your advice but where I come from art materials are expensive and making bad art is a huge waste of money so am always under pressure when I paint.

It’s very important that you are sharing this, cause you’re absolutely right! I’ll allow myself to do all of these things now, because, I was afraid of failure, but we learn from our mistakes and we become better and stronger! Thanks a lot and greetings from France!

This video is so very inspirational! Thank dear artist for sharing your experience, I’ve also have this art block which prevent me to create art… I’m afraid to create bad art because of the audience that they will criticise my artwork.. and loosen my confident to create more art… I hope someday i will become artist like u🥰

I thought it was obvious 😅 I mean, pratice is what makes you better and better every time. When you didnt achieve what you wanted, you at least know why that was. I have a lot of art that nobody bought but I had fun making them. I even started watercolor two days ago. I sold both of the paintings Ive made but in one case I just had to start again from the scratch. I experimented and learned a lot while doing so. I understood how I could avoide mistakes or fix them. I also enjoy painting copies of someone elses art in my style just so I learn something more and something new. They are all on the walls of my house or just hidden in a box. Every day Im searching for more tutorial videos just to learn something that I didnt know. Even if I dont want to paint anything at that moment. Practice and learning means a lot! Dont ever try to stop! ☺️

I have no idea which of my paintings is going to be well received. I did a dozen paintings for a project and will admit that a few of them were "throw aways'" just so I'd have enough for the show. Not only did the throw aways sell quickly my masterpieces are still stuffed in the closet. This has happened time and time again.

I have lots of bad art. The nice pieces are made into cards or I frame them and send them to family for their birthdays. It's great never buy a card again
