Meowsic Enthusiast Civvie has multiple very well made videos on the DOOM series called “PRO DOOM”, where he plays each of the DOOM games on Ultra Violence, going all the way back to the first game (the “gentleman’s way to play DOOM” voice clip is from that series). I believe it is one of, if not the most popular series of videos on his channel. Civvie’s videos have a very to the point feel while still working in plenty of clever edits and dry wit. His videos also have elements of game review in them, but he doesn’t just bash games, being much quicker to praise than criticize, which I personally like, as it makes the rare times he blasts a game feel much more genuine. He also just seems like a pretty stand up dude. If you haven’t already, I recommend checking out his PRO DOOM videos to start, that’s how I found him, and I subscribed not to long after.

This video is perfect. Also, I love how Buddy just plays off the game's greatest challenges like nothing. Icon of Sin was tough as balls; most intense moment in the game for me, especially with all the baron and arachnotron spam! Definitely Doom 2's boss ramped up.

In all honesty I was not THAT big a fan of the first one, but this one seems to be quite a drastic improvement over the original. Can't help but to admit that I got a bit hyped to play this one.

@@wingedfish1175 The 2016 one. The original (the one from1993) and especially its sequel are some of my favorite games. It's somewhat an unpopular opinion, but I find Hell on Earth to be a superior game to Doom 2016.

Not hating on your opinion at all but is there a specific reason why you didn’t like 2016 doom? The only thing I didn’t like was the locations it was all the same and my eyes were starting to hurt looking at the same colors the whole game.

@@papayer Purple Goop, Tutorials right until the flubbing final boss of the game, cutsceen %, allways online for a single player game, "Marauders" (a deffensive bullet sponge that basicly slows down any combat he is in down to a crawl), streamlined maps with very little freedom to explore or move outside a very strict and narrow path, 20% of the game is jumping "puzzles", has a story you are supposed to care about so yeah - there quite a few bad design decisions in this game and claiming it outright better seems a bit foolish to me p.s.: I love the game, it's very fun, combat is *great* and as a main focus I think they totaly nailed it, having to use all your aresnal (by enemy design and a kinda low ammo cap that you have to constantly keep in mind) very well done indeed. I just wished everything that *isn't* the combat wasn't so "not Doom", specially the level design ( *NOT* the visual design, which is great) is just ... tunnel-arena-tunnel-arena-tunnel-arena-etc.
