Seems like a false choice to me, because these three ETFs serve different investor goals. QQQ is the fastest growing (at least for the last 10 years), VOO is the most diversified, and SCHD is the best passive dividend payer. One is better than the others only to the extent that it best matches the investor’s goal.

Thanks for the feedback & I totally understand that perspective and yes they all have different purposes and strategies, but with this video I tried to show viewers there are alternatives outside of just S&P 500 funds like VOO and passive dividend funds like SCHD.

What would be a good 3rd ETF to compliment QQQ and SCHD that doesn't overlap them?

Thanks for the question! It probably depends on what you want to do with a 3rd ETF. If you wanted an investment that was safe with a nice dividend yield and 0% overlap, ANGL would make sense. If you wanted another more aggressive ETF that didn't have a lot of overlap with QQQ & SCHD, COWZ may make sense. COWZ has 2% overlap with QQQ & 19% overlap with SCHD. Hope that helps.

Yes - The Total Return includes the dividends reinvested and expenses fees for each ETF. Thanks for asking!

What website did you use? And exact inputs you used?

I use www.dividendchannel.com/ which has a DRIP calculator for the returns and I use www.etfrc.com/ for the ETF overlap. Good luck investing!
