When it comes to electric vehicles, we have to acknowledge how callous anti-EV and profit-1st planning by private executives/board of directors have left the European car industry and economy as a whole behind the curve and extraordinarily vulnerable to better and more accessible (cheaper) Chinese competition. There arguably isn't any genuine unfair subsidisation because China has planned their EV industry over a decade ago based on need, not by market speculation and competition. Wheras us in Europe are held captive by wasteful, profitable crossovers and SUVs that chase ever diminishing profit lost by the inflation their own products are creating. Profits and infation that's is subsidised by EV incentives. If EVs made 0% profot and broke even, incentives would actually be fair. It's a hard pill to swallow for some...
