I wasn't aware of any Monty Python skit where these people were made fun of. The reason for that is they had too much style and class to stoop so low. Authors description is not QUITE right. Should have said "sure to offend just about everyone who has satire go right over their heads". This was the Chaser at their best. Its delivered in such a jaunty camera-winking tone that I cannot believe people didn't see the satirical intent behind it and just saw it as dead celebrity bashing. Love it, take a bow Chaser lads. Chris Taylor wrote this. Andrew's just the showman for this particular one. In fact, I saw this several months before it went to air at the 'Dead Caesar' production at Wharf2Loud. It was clever and I didn't find it offensive there, even though it was worse. For example, there was no siren and Kerry Packer was called a cunt. (Which was true). I personally thought it was great. Besides, its not like the dead peopl can get pissed about it. Coz... they're dead.

Part of the joke was based on an interview that the Chaser did with a newspaper. They said there's places they WONT go, like Belinda Emmet. Hence the "NOOOO!"
