The Eurorack SideChain effect on the Modular System without a Compressor - Sidechaining Tutorial

In this Eurorack Tutorial I am creating the sidechain effect without using a compressor. Instead I use an inverted envelope generator - like the Doepfer A140 that I connect to my filters or the Amp section to make this pumping effect

@@MaikSchott Welcome. Yeah it's pretty cool - the VCA has a toggle to invert the CV with a switch so you don't need to invert the envelope. Plus the envelopes are cascaded to each VCA below.

@@MaikSchott well, in a lot of videos about ducking, the drum gate activates an envelope that is inverted and then offset with an offset module to duck the vca. I was wondering how you managed to do without the offset. I may have misunderstood I think

@@antimoustique3175 when you have an envelope with an inverted output like this Doepfer, you do not need an offset module. At least not in this combination with the ADDAC VCAs.

Zum Sidechain Effekt selbst. Ich sehe darin eine der Chancen um Dialog in den Vordergrund zu rücken ohne die Musik mit scheußlichen Ducking zu dezimieren. Aber ich bin nur Laie.
